Voids
my love you've left me shallow
left a flame out in the rain
left me standing on the world's edge
waiting to jump in our great suicide.
like a deer to the water
in submission I followed
but you watched as I jumped
further
and
further
maybe death was what you desired
loosen the grip
you would finally have control over the fire
over desire that had a fucking string hold over you
one that you battled to understand
'cause I was nothing like the others
and it scared you
and you fell
hook
line
and sinker
the fool I was
let words and fucking charms rule me
and I fell
into voids
voids that need not be filled but rather left to grow
voids in which my lonely heart may wallow
but in my bitterness I have grown fond of voids
especially yours
so I'll just sit
and listen to the echoes
of bleeding hearts and faulty stars
waiting to mend my broken heart.

Love in a time of death
I wore a garden of flowers,
just for you.
Wore the brightest shade of yellow
but you were still blue.
Took your aching soul to the seaside,
But all I got was a mouthful of salt.
I held on to the fragile broken origami
you called your heart.
Tried to nurse an issue
that wasn't my fault .
I walked the oceans for you,
but you were no where to be seen
as I drowned!
More salt,
it seemed accumulated
and I became a bitter whore.
I fed you passion,
while you milked me of my ecstasy.
In my attempt to fold back and fix the origami,
it was crushed further by my small hands.
I held the weight of two worlds
in the palm of my hand.
Now answer me this...
How is it,
that I caused your bloody death,
when I found you already half dead?

Take me
Take me to a meadow,
filled with daisies coloured gold.
Take me to a fun fair,
where pink cotton candy is sold.
Take me to the desert,
where the sky is so clear,
the stars need not fight to shine out here.
Take me to a place,
where I can lay,
where my weary eyes can take rest,
to the peace that dwells there.
Take me to the seaside,
where the sky meets the sea,
but have never touched.
Take me to the mountains,
where the peaks stand tall,
and the air cold,breathes
life into my dead soul.
Take me to the bookstore,
where the books are brand new
and they smell like fresh dew,
succulent,sweet and new.
Take me to a coffee shop,
the small one near the quay,
where we'll sit and talk
about aesthetic beauty
and flaws and scars and natural beauty.
Take me to a state of mind,
where peace and harmony side by side reside
where I can live,
happy,young and free.
