Rhetorics For Granddad
Is it the hair as white as snow?
Or the smile as broad as Santa Claus?
Is it the cookie on a midnight call?
Or the free spree all around the room?
Is it both hands filled with candies?
Or both pockets stacked with goodies?
Is it the wrinkle on your face?
Or your poise that is no longer in place?
There is just something about you granddad
That makes you an attraction to the kids
Upon your knees they play with boisterous abandon
Without cares and without fears they jolly along
The cheer in their voices reveals the truth
The glint in their eyes is all I need to see
To make me know
You run the show
A pushover for love you may seem
But it makes me see
How much I'm loved by Supremacy
My first and greatest Grandpa
Daddy God!
