Maria was attracted to Daniel. She never said her feelings nor did Daniel."Rihanna! Where is my diary?" One day Maria asked after looking for her diary not to find it."I don't know. Maybe you misplaced it." Maria kept looking for it but never found it. She kept going to school and every time, she saw Daniel smiling. When they were going home, Maria decided to ask Daniel.
      "Why do you always smile whenever you see me?" Daniel just kept smiling."See, you are smiling even now. What's wrong with you?" Maria asked and Daniel answered,"I think am in love with one girl and I think she is in love with me." Maria was a little hurt."That is nice. Who is that girl? When will you introduce me to her?" Daniel promised her that he will make her meet the girl soon.
       Maria agreed and the lessons continued. Everyday Maria did her job and was a little hurt."Why do you look gloomy early in the morning. That too on a Saturday." Rihanna said as she sat on a sofa."Nothing." Maria answered."Will you tell me or I call Daniel now?" Maria hurriedly took her phone and shouted,"Daniel loves someone else and not me. The girl loves him too." Rihanna was confused and shocked.
     She hurriedly left and Maria was confused on where she has gone. She arrived at Daniel's house and kept pressing the door bell."Who is this knocking on the door bell like a crazy?" Daniel's mom shouted and opened the door."What ar......." Before Daniel's mom could finish her sentence, Rihanna got into the house and was already heading upstairs."How dare you enter my house like that?" Daniel's mom shouted but Rihanna ignored her.
      She entered in Daniel's room and saw him with his friends. She went and took him by his collars and said,"you are enjoying here with your friends while on the other side, my bestie is hurt saying you have fallen in love with another girl. Did I give you her diary to fall in love with another girl?" Daniel was shocked and so were his friends."Wooahh, easy there girl. I think she misunderstood me. I wanted it to be a surprise and that is why I told her I will introduce her to the girl."
       "Well, you will introduce her today evening since she is not here to teach you. If you don't, then am coming back for you." Rihanna said and left."Woow! She really has a protective best friend. She almost killed me." Daniel said and his friends laughed."Atleast she loves you back. You are lucky to get her. Maybe she will protect you from her best friend." Daniel smiled and decided to text her.
       "Where did you go?" Maria asked after Rihanna got home."Ohh..I thought I forgot something at work. And also....." Rihanna took Maria's diary out of her purse and said,"sorry but I took this at work and I forgot to return it." Maria was shocked and glared at her friend."Am sorry, I have apologized and it's good that only me and you know the password." Maria hugged her best friend and she heard her phone's beep.
      "Who is it?" Rihanna asked and Maria said it was Daniel."He wants me to meet him in the evening so that I can meet the girl he loves but I don't want to go." Maria wanted to reply that she is not going to come but Rihanna took her phone."You will have to go. You have to show him that you can endure looking at the girl and make sure you are ok. And I won't accept no for an answer."
      Rihanna gave Maria one of her dresses and said,"wear this and if you refuse then you are not my best friend." Maria hesitate and she finally accepted it. Daniel's mom heard their conversations when Rihanna came and warned him but Daniel did not hear. Daniel's mom was worried while his father was happy. That evening Daniel left and waited for Maria.
     Maria came and saw Daniel was sitting alone on a bench. She went closer and asked him,"where is the girl?" Daniel saw her and murmured,"woow! Beautiful." He patted on the side of the bench gesturing for Maria to sit. Maria asked where the girl was after she sat down."Look behind you, you will see her." Maria looked behind as she was told but she never saw anyone."Where is she? I don't see anyone."
     Daniel moved closer to her and Maria turned. Their lips accidently touched and Maria was about to move back when Daniel wrap his arms around Maria's waist."What are you doing? Someone might see us especially the girl you love." Daniel did not care and kissed Maria on the lips. Maria wanted to say something but Daniel put his hand on her lips and moved closer to her."The beautiful girl I was talking about was you."
      Maria was surprised."I fell in love with you since the day your best friend put some sense into me by giving me lectures. That day, on the competition, I fell for you thinking you were another girl. But I came to realize that I had fallen in love with the woman whom I used to hate." Maria did not know what to say. Daniel's hand was on her lips."I realized my mistakes and from that day I changed. You changed me and am happy that am in love with you."
        He removed his hand and Maria was able to breathe again."I...." Daniel looked at her and said,"I know you love me too but you are just shy to confess it." Maria was shocked and said,"how did you know?" Daniel smiled and said,"you will have to forgive me for this and also never blame your best friend. She was the one who gave me your diary and all that was written there was about me."
     Maria was angry and said,"how could you two do this to me and Rihanna...." Daniel confront her and told her not to blame Rihanna as it was his fault."I won't allow you to do anything to Rihanna as I was the one who asked her to. If you want to punish someone then punish me. Bytheway, she is the one who came home to almost killing me since I told you I fell in love with a girl and she suggested this evening."
      Maria smiled and stood up. She was surprised to see Daniel on one knee."What are you doing? Get up!" Daniel removed a rose from behind and said,"will you go out on a date with me?" Maria smiled and nodded. Daniel hugged her and said,"I will text you the place and when." Maria agreed and they both went home smiling.
