It was in the mid afternoon and it was time for sports. Danny was too tired and did not want to do anything. Maria came and wanted them to do warm up. Danny did it lazily and Maria went to him."What are you doing? That is not how you are supposed to do a warm up. Do it properly like others." When Maria went to other students, Danny pretended to be sick.
       "Ah, am not feeling well. Somebody help." Maria went to him and asked him."Don't you see that am not feeling well?" He answered and Maria said,"am sorry...." Danny grinned before Maria finishes her sentence. He happily said,"can I go home? Because I know you will say,"am sorry, please go home." He stood up to go but Maria stopped him.
       "I never asked you to go and I never finished my sentence. But if you think this plan of yours will work on me then am sorry it won't." Daniel became so angry and shouted,"what do you think of yourself? You can't tell me what to do and not to do. My father owns this school and I can do whatever I want." Maria was shocked when she heard that.
      "Even if the school belongs to your father, it does not mean you can do what you want." All the students and teachers came to see what was happening."Do you think you will work here? I will do everything and get you out of here. And first of all, did your parents even think before giving birth to a nerdy person like you?"
       Maria was angry after hearing the last sentence. She tightened her fist and when Daniel was about to go, she hold him and turned him around. She raised her hand and slapped him real hard. The students were shocked but the teachers were happy."How dare you slap me?" Daniel said and wanted to slap her back but Maria grabbed his hand and said,"you need to respect your teachers and not act rudely with them."
      Maria saw the principal there and told him everything. Daniel went home even before he was suspended. He did not come to school the next day but when it was mid afternoon, the students saw him with his father."Look! Daniel came with his father. What will Miss Maria do now?" The students started talking. His father went to the principal and Maria was called.
         "So, you are the one who slapped my son?" Maria nodded and Daniel's father asked,"and why would you do that without him doing anything?" Maria glared at Daniel and he smirked."Is that what he told you?" Maria asked and his father answered."Sir, as a student, he does not have any right to mention my parents or say anything bad about them."
       "Why? Atleast he asks about your parents and he had the right as my son. Don't you have parents?" Maria was silent and slowly tears started flowing. She ran out of the office and went to the park. Daniel and his father were confused. Maria took her car and went home. The principal went to find her but did not see her anywhere.
     He called her and Rihanna answered the phone after Maria asked her to answer and say she was not there and will send the resignation letter. Rihanna said as she was told and the principal was shocked."Noo, please tell her not to resign. Boss is sorry for acting rude. Please tell her to come back." But Maria decided to send the letter of resignation.
      One morning, she went back to school to give the letter as they refused to accept it when Rihanna brought it. When the students saw her, some were sad for her to leave. She went to the principal's office and knocked on the door. When she was asked to enter, she entered and was shocked to see Daniel and his father. She wanted to go back but was stopped.
      "Please have a seat. We need to talk." Daniel's father said. She sat down and Danny smirked at her. He mouthed her,"didn't I told you?" Maria just looked at the principal and Daniel's father."First am sorry. I know I should not have acted that way with you." Daniel was confused and said,"Dad?" But his father asked him to remain silent.
     "I did not teach my son any manners but after what you did to him, am sure he will change." Daniel was shocked."I would like you to continue your job but also I have a suggestion for you." Maria remained silent and asked what was the suggestion."Will you be my son's personal teacher and teach him all the subjects at home?"
       Maria was shocked and so was Daniel."Dad! I can't accept this." Daniel said and turned his chair."Sir, am sorry but it's better that I resign than to accept your offer." But Daniel's father did not give up. He looked at the principal and he said,"Maria, your payment will be added." Maria thought for a second. She knew she had to pay her parents' debt.
       "You will be paid in advanced." The principal added. Maria looked at Daniel and said,"OK, I accept your offer." Daniel who was busy looking at the cupboard in the principal's office turned."What?? What did you say?" He asked and his father answered,"so, it's decided. You will teach him every weekends and after school until at night."
      "I haven't accepted yet." Daniel said but his father ignored him and left with the principal. Daniel glared at Maria and said,"well, this did not work out but you chose a very dangerous path of accepting to come to my house. You will see how I will make you suffer because there won't be school rules in my house."
       He left and Maria was all alone in the principal's office."Mom, Dad, I miss you soo much. What have I gotten myself into? But no matter what, I will pay all your debts and make you proud. And I will teach that boy what you two taught me. It's my promise. I will change him no matter how stubborn he is. If he is stubborn then he does not know that am more stubborn than him." She left the office smiling proudly.
