Who will remember these
The man who buried his life in a bottle because he could not handle his pain, or the mother who gave up the rights to her children, as they labeled her insane.
Who will remember these?
The soldier that comes home from a battle, with wounds deeper than anyone can see,
Only to find he's unwanted, even tough he fought for us all to be free.
Who will remember these?
A decorated war veteran, as killer and murderer they taunt and they scream,
There is no rest from this hellish nightmare like twisted day dream!
As he prays for an end to his torment and pain, as he pulls the trigger on himself, though not in vain, but he's only remembered as one that is criminally insane!
Who will remember these?
The prisons are full of men and of women just like you and me. We all begin as innocent children with beautiful hopes and dreams that no one can see.
Somewhere beyond childhood, life turns into pain, as so many are lost in the floods as they drown in the rain.
Who will remember these?
So much talent lost daily, as so many lives drown invisibly, but nobody can see, we only honour those standing directly in front of you and me.
Although many more are lost in the title waves of life, because they simply can't swim against the current of life's never ending sea of heartache and strife!
So who will remember?
Who will remember?
Tell me,
Who ...
will remember
These?
