THE SPLIT
They entered the "C" block. It housed patients of a special class. Patients who have already undergone morphogenetic conditioning and haven't lost their sense of empathy. Their psyche shattered after therapy, but they could still think sanely. After passing a long corridor, the sisters entered the ward. But there was one thing, the floor of the room was rotten and 90% consisted of holes. There was no floor at all on the second floor, so if you fall from the height of the third floor, you could get serious injuries. But it was possible to go to the exit through the ledges under the wall. Skylar and Scarlett went through them, but to get to the doors, they had to jump.
-Scarlett, we have to jump. If we do not reach, it will hurt to fall from the height of the third floor.
-I am small and weigh little, so I'll jump first.
Scarlett picked up speed and jumped to the door. Skylar also picked up speed and grabbed the boards with her hands. She tried to pull herself up, but the boards were flimsy and she fell down. Having flown the second floor, she collapsed onto the bed, which madly softened the fall. It was dark inside the building, so for Scarlett Skylar fell into an abyss. Skylar moaned from back pain, but after a couple of tens of seconds, she was able to get to her feet. Another ward, where in the past they were restrained with straps of patients tied to couches.
'I need to find a way to the second and then the third floor. Something might happen to Scarlett without me.' ;-thought Skylar...
