You look at me See what's expected A smile Smirk Joyful eyes Meaningful words A mask You see me And assume I'm emotionless Have the audacity to assume I don't care Because I wear a mask Something that's meant To hide... Hide the affliction Of my thoughts That turn to revolutionists Turn to protesters And chant this is your fault Why didn't you do better Why weren't you brave enough ... You're nothing My mask Hides the scars Of a lifetime of tribulations Pain Bruises from the amount of times I've been hit With the aspects of my own subconscious The side of myself That hates me For not reaching for the stars For not turning his dreams To reality This mask Hides the tribulation I face before I even see you Because if I shown The severity of my pain Expressed how much this hurts Painted a portrait Even spelled it out... You wouldn't care No one ever cares So I'm subjected to a mask Something that hides The battle inside The monster Within A mask That shows the best of me.... So you won't see the worst of me

I saw a dream, and there were you, And there was coldness in your eyes. I wonder what a kind of true Made you become as cold as ice. And later I looked back to get a sense This empty glance was hellish call of past. It used to be a high and strong defense Against the world, the pain and me at last. You looked at me, and peering in your soul, I felt so lonely, as something vital died. And that is what I fear most of all - That nothing gentle will remain inside. Inside of you. Inside of me as well. And nothing will be said to farewell.
