А ми палили одне одного до тла. І не жаліючи, підкидали хмизу. Аж коли осінь нас підступно підвела, Щоб ми зіграли чергову репризу. Ти налила два келихи вина, Один взяла собі, а мені ж інший простягнула. Та недочекалася, коли свій келих візьму я, Твоя рука розтиснулась, а ти мені всміхнулась. По-твоєму, це смішно? - запитав. Не так вина, як отой келих шкода, Який, розбившись нас, мов розділяв На два фронти, які воюють до чийогось скону. І розгорівся черговий скандал. І ти кричала, що тебе усе дістало. Я ж мовчки дивився , як крізь кришталь Вино кривою плямою розповзалось. Отак, спустошились ми вже до дна, І наше полум'я практично згасло. Мабуть, струхлявіла ота деревина, Яка горіла так колись прекрасно.
