Milkshake
It’s not because things are difficult that we don’t dare. It’s because we don’t dare that they are difficult.
A few days have passed and Mukhetwa could barely leave the house without being greeted by a swam of people. She was laying on her bed starring at the ceiling with her legs on the wall. Her phone buzzed beside her and she slowly shifted her hand to fine it as it continued to buzz. Luka and Chris had just texted her.
Luka:- Hey we’re going out for milkshakes, the girls thought it would cheer you up 2:25
Mukhetwa:- Yeah sure…..Details? 2:26
Luka:- 15:15 @ Milky lane 2:30
Mukhetwa:- Okay I’ll be there 2:31
Chris:- I wanna take you out tonight 2:25
Mukhetwa:- What? Why? What’s the occasion. 2:33
Chris:- I donno I just wanna spoil you. Plus I don’t think that all this has been easy for you 2:35

Chris:- Wear something fancy because we are going to Linux La Dolce Vita 2:39
Mukhetwa:- Really! OMG that place is like super expensive, you sure ’cause I could settle for Spur or something 2:42
Chris:- Nah I go there all the time and it’s rated as one of the best restaurants this side of the equator 2:45
Mukhetwa:- Wow okay. GTG 2:47

Mukhetwa got out of bed to change for her outing to Milky Lane. She decide to wear a shortish, coral summer dress & and stringed silver heels all of which she got from the shopping spree. She puts on some lip-gloss, put her phone in her purse then she was out.
“Mukhetwa where do you think you’re going?” her father said before she could even open the door. “Out for milkshakes with my friends,” Mukhetwa said I a mouse like voice. Moving back so she could see his face, which she hadn’t seen in a while due to the hectic life she had. “Who with?” her father questioned. “As I said father just friends, bye,” she said half way out the door as she heard a car honk outside. She had asked Kara and Mona to come fetch her.“ Hey girl how you doing,” Kara said with an ear to ear grin, she was genuinely happy to see Mukhetwa. “I’m fine I guess,” she said stepping into the car. “Girl you look beautiful you know?” Mona said enthusiasm evident in her voice, as Mukhetwa putting her seat belt, ”Thanks.” “BTW the car’s windows are tinted so we don’t attract unwanted attention,” Mona continued

Mona: Hey babe
Lufuno: Hey love, there has been a change of plans
Mona: Okay [she says slowly] What changed?
Lufuno: We ain’t going to Milky Lane anymore
Mona: Why? [she whined] I was so looking forward to it especially the theme song
Lufuno: [Laughs] LOL babe you know you could just download it
Mona: It won’t sound the same an d as special. Okay where are we going then
Lufuno: To Luka’s bachelor pad, he suggest we go there ’cause someone leaked that Mukhetwa was coming
Mona: Damn that’s really weird I thought he was the private type
