The shopping spree
A CHAIN IS ONLY AS STRONG AS IT’S WEAKEST POINT
Mukhetwa was woken up by an impatient banging sound on the door. She looked over to her alarm at her bed side to find out that she had slept right into the beginning of the afternoon [around 2.00pm] She wipes her eyes clearing her vision, dragging her feet down the stairs [this Saturday her parents were helping out a local church] She opens the door with no idea who to expect especially today.
At the first sight of Mukhetwa, Mona lunged forward and hugged her. “Hi,” Mona said in a burst of joy. The moment she looked at Kara after that bear hug she shouted, “Surprise, we’re here to take you shopping.” “Hey guys,” Mukhetwa said half asleep. “Thanks for the kind gesture but I don’t have any money,” Mukhetwa continued as she pouted. “No silly, this one’s on us! Think of this as your make-over,” Mona said nagging her shoulder. “Oh” Mukhetwa said letting them in. she sat them down in the living room and told them to wait 20 minutes as she prepares.

“Let’s go ladies,” Mukhetwa said walking to the front door w, wearing an ankle length skirt and a long sleeve blouse and pumps. “Oh brother this is gonna be a long day,” Mona said as they walked to the car.
Their first stop was Sportscene for sporting wear, they said that every girl needs sporting wear; it makes her look fit and sexy. Mukhetwa was moving around the store with no idea what to pick when the girls literally took half of everything. They got at least 12 outfits of matching tops or bra and shorts or tights in all colors and designs. Mona also grabbed some gadgets, which Mukhetwa claimed she had no idea how to use but Mona said that she would teach her. In 30 minutes they were done and off to their next stop, they knew the mall like the back of their hand.
Edgars was where the girls decided to buy her semi-formal clothes, which were mostly black & white. They got some pencil skirts, hotter blouses and tight, cute tennis dresses. They got her red bottom heels, platform heel and pumps.
“Hey guys do your parents know that you are using their black cards?” Mukhetwa asked as they walked out the store. Mona & Kara shared a confused look before attempting to answer the question. “No,” Mona said with a weird look on her face. “These are ours, we both got them on out 13th birthday, kanti don’t you have one.” “No, come to think of it I never needed for anything ...…well until now,” Mukhetwa said looking at Kara. “So you’ve never been on a shopping spree or go to the movies with your friends?” Kara said stopping them both. Mukhetwa shook her head. “Oooh!” The girl engulfed her in a huge hug. “You have suffered for long enough, we’re here now,” Mona said in Mukhetwa’s shoulder. After a while they stopped and just broke into laughter.
They continued to Mr. Price for casual clothes shopping. As Mona entered she squealed then ran to black shorts that had gold bottoms on the front. “I already got item number one,” she said holding them up.
The girls slipped into Shadders for sunglasses, with the most ridiculous prices like really who would pay 2000 for a pair of shades. But the girls didn’t seem to mind so they got Mukhetwa 4 pairs and told her when and how to wear them.
Edgar’s active is where they decided to but running shoes and sneakers. They ran around looking for matching shoes for their outfits and Mukhetwa couldn’t help but to be attracted to the latest pair of converse sneakers. “Take ’em,” Kara said breaking Mukhetwa’s star. “Their the latest and their like crazy comfortable, they practically go with anything,” Kara said moving close. Mukhetwa took them in black as that was her favorite color. They bought 23 pairs of shoes in total.
They passed AmericaSwiss when something clicked in Mona, causing her to drag the girls in. “We need matching bracelets!” Mona insisted. As she picked out which one Kara on the other hand helped Mukhetwa choose 2 watches’, 3 rings, 5 pairs of earrings and 4 necklaces. Her favorite was the one where the heart opened. When Mona called them over to check out what she has chosen, they were turned speechless. They were simple yet complex. They had a silver, grey chain and a silver plate on top with their initials increased on them [which were actually the designers] M.M.K. with little diamonds.
