She stands up straight, smoothes her hair and to her surprise her dress wasn’t wet when straightened out the wrinkles. She walked away as if nothing had happened, this wasn’t the first time that she walked around without underwear and it will certainly not be the last.
“Hey girl where’ve you been,” Kara inquirers the moment Mukhetwa steps out. “Uhm…bathroom,” she flushes as the thought of Luka’s actions invade her thoughts as she takes her seat next to Chris but she can’t help but notice that Luka has left, where could he be? She felt too uncomfortable to ask so she just kept quiet. “Think I should go check out this so-called bathroom myself, girl you literally came back glowing,” Mona giggles.

The girls drop Mukhetwa off at her house, she heads straight for her room but is faced with a roadblock. “Young lady where have you been! Her father’s voice booms through the room. She quickly turns on her heels to face her father. “I ….. Before I left I…. out with my friends, father,” she decides not to go into detail. “And what time do you call this? I will not have you coming back at these hours, this is not how I raised you,” he steps closer and Mukhetwa lowers her head. “Just because our home has changed doesn’t mean that the rules have, okay?” “I know father and I’m sorry. It will never happen again,” she finally looks up to her father. Mick [her father] lets out a sigh of relief. “I’m just doing what’s best for you, to protect you from them, from it,” he looks into her eyes. “From what father?” Mukhetwa had always wanted to ask her parents but never had the courage nor the chance. They always tell her the how but never the why. “The truth, now go up to your room,” he gestures up the stairs. The moment she enters she flops on her bed. It felt like ages since she had last closed her eyes, and as she was about to do just that she remembers that she has a dinner date with Chris later tonight. She groans before she gets up to take a shower.
