Ch.22: (Philia) Brotherly Love
Philia in ancient Greek is often translated 'brotherly love'. Brotherly love is when you treat another as a brother or sister even if you are not entirely blood related. To practice brotherly love simply be as friendly or  affectionate towards others as possible. See the good in people even when it may be hard to find because the moment they feel as if no one in the world see's them as good, all the good leaves a person. Sometimes for good. Brotherly love is in it's essence existent for the soul purpose of keeping the hope alive in others. The complete opposite of philia is phobia. So a certain level of comfortability is necessary when using brotherly love. While love itself is the absence of judgement & complete acceptance of a person for who they are. Philia or brotherly love stems from love itself and is a product of love. So if you are looking for a way to start showing brotherly love start by practicing and showing genuine love for another person outside of you blood relations as if they are actually related to you.
