I threw my arms around him and pulled him into a hug. His arms found their way around. "Hi, Ellie," he said. "How are you?"

"I'm good, you?" I asked stepping back and letting go of him.

"I'm good too," he replied with a smile.

I let him and his mum in by stepping aside. His mum shut the door behind her and my parents came to say, "hi."

"Can we go upstairs?" I wondered.

"No, you can stay down here," my dad stated. Did he not trust us? We were just friends. We use to hang in my room all the time when we were little now my dad didn't trust us to know that we were older. He thought we would get up to something else than just talking.

"We are only going to watch a film," I told him, hoping to change his mind.

"You can watch a film down here," he pointed out.

"Don't you trust me? We only want to hang together," I wondered.

"I do trust you," he lied.

"Then can we go upstairs?" I asked him.

"No." I knew he wouldn't say yes anytime soon or ever, so I sighed.

"Fine, then," I said.

"It's fine. We can have fun down here. Plus I need help going through my lines," Alex told me.

"Alright let's go in the kitchen," I suggested and then the three of us headed through the door to the kitchen.

We sat down at the table. I and Abbie sat on either side of Alex. He pulled out his script from his bag and then dropped it on the floor under the table.

I saw the title of the film when he placed it on the table. It was called The Zombie Hunters. What a unique title. It was too obvious. It wasn't a very creative title so it was too easy to tell what it was about. He opened it to the first page. "It starts here," he said and then started to read.

"Outside, it's night time and it's cold. It was around 9 pm and it was dark but the sky was clear of any stars. However, the moon was glowing brightly. There was a wind whooshing and howling through the trees. The was sound was drowned out by a girl screaming and running, from two dead looking people, whose skin was falling and decaying from their faces. The girl bumped into another zombie, she steps back and notices she is now surrounded," he said.

"Now we need someone to be Joanne," he pointed out.

"I'll be Joanne," I offered. "Who's playing Joanne in the movie?" I wondered.

"Faye," he replied.

"Huh, I hate Faye. She thinks she's better than others may because she was born a star. Apparently, she isn't very nice to fans," Abbie said, sighing.

"It's true, she is. She's awful and thinks how I feel? She's my Co-star and I have to kiss her in the film," Alex said.

"Eww... gross," I said and then I read her lines. "Help, Help! Someone, please help me," I cried as I tried to put as much emotion into the line as I could.

Then I passed on the script to Abbie so she could read the next part.

"A boy runs up and hits one of the dead humans over the head with a cricket bat. Quickly he did the same to the others and they fell to the floor. Then he went towards the girl," Abbie read.

"Are you OK?" Alex asked, trying his hardest to put genuine concern in his voice.

I read the next line. It said that Joanne nodded so I nodded in response.

"The didn't bite you, did they?" Alex asked.

"No, they haven't," I replied. "Thanks for saving me. Who are you anyway?" I added.

"Jack Clarke. I go to your School," Alex said.

"Jack Clarke," I read it like I was recalling where I heard that name before. "You're in my history class right?"

"Yeah," Alex replied.

We carried on reading the script until we grew bored of reading. Abbie managed to get a few other lines too. Alex put the script away and we headed into the living room where our parents were watching TV.
