Чомусь серце сумує Під звуки зливи тихо. Причин то не існує – Ні втрата, ані лихо. А дощ бринить над містом – Так небо ревно плаче, Гірким сумом все квилить, А я із ним неначе. Так рветься з серця плач, Як краплі із хмарини. Цей дощ – спогад невдач Для кожної людини. Я горе небосхилу Зненацька розділила, Але цей жаль убивчий – Я ледь його стерпіла.

You looked at me, and peering in your soul, I felt so lonely, as something vital died. And that is what I fear most of all - That nothing gentle will remain inside. Inside of you.
