Заспівала пташечка пісеньку сумну, Про свою матусеньку, про свою стару. Залилася піснею, як водою рів, Ой, неслася пісенька з гір аж до полів. П-в Пташко, пташко милая, сизиє крило! Ніде так вже не буде, як з нею було, Ой, лети, співучая, аж за небокрай, Там про мати рідную світу заспівай! Ой, струнка красунечко, голос хай бринить, А струнка берізонька тихо гомонить, Хай заплачуть всі гаї - думка про святе, Лине тихо мамине слово золоте . (Десь в глибині моєї душі все ж таки грає якась протяжна мелодія)
