The moment I woke up I slowly tried opening my eyes. I was hoping to smell my favorite soup prepared by Tala but it seems like today is a different day.

I can't smell anything except the room's unique smell. Hmm? Why do I feel something different today?

I don't feel any headache anymore. I know for sure that I'm already healed. I even tried touching my throat if it still hurt and even tried couching but none of it hurt anymore.

This time I tried pulling my body up but like before someone is holding my right hand. I was surprised because I've never though that I would see her face again like this. Catarina is sleeping beside me.

She do sleep like an angel. I wonder what dream is she having? Is it a good dream or a bad dream.

As I look at her, my heart used to beat so fast but today I don't feel anything. Maybe because of my fever? I don't know.

Catarina's hand became tighter. She hold my hand so tight that I can her nails through my skin. Maybe she's having a nightmare. I was about to wake her up but her eyes slowly open.

“You're awake” Said Catarina while rubbing her sleepy eyes.

“Yes, I am” I answered then smiled.

“I'm glad that you're already feeling better” She continue

“Thanks” I said while giving her a smile. Catarina did respond with a smile that used to gave me something that bothers me. But now it seems like I'm talking to a friend.

A normal friend.

What happened? What's happening? My mind tells me that this is the person I love. The person I waited for so long to meet again but my heart-

My heart says different.

“By the way where's Tala?” I asked to break the silence.

Catarina smiled and stared at me for a minute. There's a smile but her eyes seems lonely.

“She went outside to buy some food. For your breakfast ”She explained.

“Owh” I murmured.

“Both of you looks like a newlywed” Catarina said while covering her mouth as she giggles.

“Eh ?!”

I can feel my cheeks getting hot and my heart- yes my heart is beating so fast. This can't be right. My heart must be wrong.

“The way you protect her. The way she take good care of you. Both of you are compatible ”She hardly explained.

Catarina stood up and patted my head. Does she still see me as a little brother? Am I that innocent?

I murmured something. Catarina is about to go out of my room but because of that she froze. I even don't know where that thing come from but everything seems frozen.

Catarina is looking straight at me with her beautiful yet lonely eyes. I did give her mine.

“I love you” I said.

I was waiting for her respond and once again Catarina patted my head and sit beside me. Holding my cheeks and staring at my eyes. With this distance I fan see her blue eyes turning red. Is she crying?

“For a long time I was waiting for you to say that” Catarina said.

I was about to say something but I was interrupted.

“But your heart belongs to someone else now” Catarina continued.

Then her tears suddenly fell down through her cheeks. I dont know what to say.

“The way you look at her. The way you talk to her. The way you laugh with her. The way your heart is calling her. If that is not love I don't know what it is ”Catarina said.

“I'm just so happy to hear that from you for a long time. But- Dont lie to your heart. Follow what your heart is sayin. I want you to be happy that's why I'm letting you go. I love you"

And with that. My mind went blank. Only Tala's face smiling is posted inside my head. And in that moment I knew that the person I really love is her.

Tala.

Before I could speak. Catarina's lips can be felt through mine. It was soft and taste sweet in the same time. Yet painful. Emotionally.

After that she stood up and-

“I love you too. Goodbye ”Catarina said before going outside.

I was left alone the room without having any words coming out of my mouth. I'm speechless.

And in that same day. Tala didn't return home.
