Both of us are staring at each other. We both look confused. I even started to touch my lips then look at the door.

“Hmm. I know this is the right place right? ”

The girl tilted her head and looks also confused. I can't stop thinking that her golden eyes are beautiful, so does her hair. No wonder if Liam likes her. She must be Tala, the one they were talking about.

“This is Liam's place right?” I asked.

“Owh. Of course! Yo-You're looking for Liam ”She answered with her voice stuttering. Tala looks so nervous, I don't know why? But I did smile at her.

She seems small like a little sister. I think we could get along.

“Come in please! Liam is actually resting right now but please come inside ”Tala said while pointing her finger through the sofa.

“Thank you” Thanking her.

Tala waited me to enter the apartment before going to the kitchen telling me she is going to prepare some coffee.

I pit down my school bag and the paper bag with Liam's medicine on it. I did explore the place, it looks so big despite of having only one person.

There's a bunch of book in the shelve and video games under the flat screen television. The room is very clean too. Liam's place is wonderful.

“Here you go” Tala said while offering me her homemade coffee. She even gave me a troubled smile before giving it to me.

I wonder what's on her mind?

“Thank you” once again I thank her.

I took a sip of coffee and it is really good. The feeling of drinking in a coffee shop. I wonder where did she learn this one?

Not a moment later we heard Liam coughed. I was about to stand up but Tala stood up much faster than me. Tala went to the brown cabinet, looking for something.

Hmm. It seems like Tala often visits Liam, she knows where to go without any doubt like going to the kitchen, preparing some coffee without anything that bothers her where to look at. Even Liam's medicine, she knows everything inside this room.

What a lucky girl.

“Oh no-“ She said nervously.

Tala looks at me. She's about to say something but her tongue seems twisted.

“Is there any problem?” I asked.

“I need to go somewhere to buy some medicine for Liam” she explained then scratching her head. Tala looks very shy.

“No need”

“Eh?”

“I bought some medicine here for Liam” said I while pointing my finger to the paper bag in front of me.

“May I?” Tala asked before touching the paper bag. I give her a nod and started looking at it. Then there’s a sudden shock. Her eyes became big like she saw some ghost inside the paper bag.

“Are you okay?” I asked

“No-no! I’m just surprised”

“Surprised?”

“Yes. Everything inside this paper bag is Liam’s medicine. I mean, it’s perfect! Everything he needs is already here! Thank you very much” he explained then bowing in front of me.

Liam once again coughed.

Tala immediately took the medicine and went inside Liam’s room. She can even go to his room without being bothered.

I took the last sip of my coffee and stood up. Knocking at Liam’s door and immediately been open.

“Can I” I asked.

“Well yes you can but-“

“Don’t worry I wont catch his fever”

Tala let me enter the room and I can see Liam sleeping so peacefully. Seeing him like this bring back memories.

I once visited him during our childhood time when he is also sick. As always he sleeps like an angel. With or without his glasses Liam looks so handsome.

I touched his forehead and felt how his fever goin down. I stood up and took one of my towel and watched it, then after that I put it on Liam’s forehead.

Then.

“Catarina?” Asked Liam even though his eyes are close. The moment I put my towel to his forehead he hold my hand.

“How can you recognize me without even opening your eyes?” I asked.

He smiled.

“You’re the only who uses towel when I’m sick” Liam explained.

I was about to talk to him more but he fell asleep already. He must be very tired.

“You seems very close” Tala asked.

“You think so?” I asked then giggle. Then immediately stops. Liam’s hand is still holding mine.

“We used to be like this when we were only a kid. We always have each other’s back until-” I cant finish what I’m trying to say because my chest hurt. I feel like my heart is breaking just by remembering the past.

“Well you too Tala. You seems very close to Liam. Are you two in a relationship?”

“Relationship?” She asked while look so empty inside her head. She touched her lips while thinking the way I do earlier.

“Well yes! We’re PARTNERS!”

“Is that so?”

My chest ached.

“So you are his girlfriend, I get it” I accidentally murmured.

“Girlfriend?” She asked then her face turned red. Tala even hold her cheeks.

“NO! UHM- ITS NOT LIKE THAT! UHM. We’re partners! Like classmates!” She explained panicky.

I touched her head with my left hand.

“I get it” said I.

Is that so? I still have a chance then. Both of them are only friends. I feel relieved.

Without me noticing it-

“Catarina? You’re smiling”

I did touch my lips with my left hand. Then I smiled wider.

“So-sorry its nothing” I said.

“By the way how do you know my name?” I asked.

Then her eyes looks nervous.

“Well- uhm- Liam told me about you hehe” She explained. I know there’s more but I wont ask since this is our first time meeting each other.

I took a deep breath and looks at her.

“Nice to meet you Tala”

“Uhm- I- Nice to meet you too Miss Catarina”

I giggle because of ‘Miss’.

“Hmm?”

“Just Catarina” Said I then smiled.

Then there’s a moment of silence. I took a look again at Liam’s face. Holding his hand more tightly.

So Liam’s been talking about me huh? Cute.
