The sun already set, the sky was like a painted orange and the clouds are hugging the sun so tight. The weather was too cold so I end up drinking coffee.

Tala is sleeping peacefully beside me. She looks so tired and hurt. As I look at the window someone from behind put something from my back, a blue blanket.

“You're awake” Angel asked.

The one who saved us. Surprisingly she's my neighbor and Catarina's friend but there's more than that! Angel is my father's friend I don't know how they know each other but they did.

“I hope she's doing fine” Angel said.

“I do hope too. She looks tired ”Said I while touching her fluffy cheeks. Tala is like a cat sleeping.

Tala's hair didn't go back to her usual golden hair, it was stuck to her original hair which is black. Well I really dont mind what color her hair is, she's beautiful in both ways.

“Thank you for saving us” I asked as Angel seated beside me.

“Nope. You saved me first to be honest ”Angel answered then brushing her black hair through her ear.

At first glance you might thought that she's a girl without emotion but the moment you talk to her, you know she's actually a person too.

“I don't know if you remember but you really save my life. After that I really cherish my existence because I really wanted to repay you one day ”She explained.

I was speechless because I was never praised the way Angel did just now.

“What happened that day specifically? I really quite don't remember. All I know is that I let someone go ”I replied.

Angel smiled at me. She took a deep breath and started telling her story-

“I remember it clearly. It was my first time coming coming in your world- “

“Wait what? You're not from earth? ”

“Oh. I thought you knew” Angel answered while touching her chin like she is a detective.

“Nope! I thought it was only Tala. I didn’t know there’s more”

“Yes. There’s more. This is not also the first time”

“Okay. Continue” I replied while I’m having a mind blown.

“So yeah. It was my first time coming here because I was tasked to find someone. It was Tala’s mother. Just like her, she is a runaway from our planet, Venus

Some of our people are debating because I was too young to travel but they have no choice because I was the best assassin during that time. It was the only way to pay my sins.

I was forbidden to kill or hurt anyone from this planet that makes me more difficult. I actually thought no matter what I do, nobody will accept me anyway after the mission”

As she continue telling her story, I can see through her eyes that there’s a deep pain inside her heart.

“I thought my life is already useless so it doesn’t matter if I die in this world until-“Angel stops and started looking straight through my eyes.

“Until I met you. Those three people tried something malicious. They hold my two hand tightly and tried to ripped my clothes. I thought it was over. I thought my life is already over and I have failed the mission. I thought that my life is meaningless and it is okay for me to die but-

You saved me. You tried your best beating those people despite of your small body. I don’t know what to do back then, I was really in shock that somebody did took a risk just to saved someone useless life.

And after that, after telling me to go. It was that moment I knew there’s much more. There’s a reason why I’m still alive.

That my life has meaning on it. I might not know the answer yet but I know soon there is.

I took good care of myself after that. It took me a day to find Tala’s mother. I saw her standing outside someone’s house. Then about a minute she came to me without hesitation.

She gave me a smile but there’s a tears on her cheeks.

‘Are you okay princess?’ I asked

‘Of course I’m fine. I’m just happy that the person I loved is now happy too’

‘But you only saw him for like one minute or less?’

‘Well darling, maybe a minute can last a lifetime feeling”

I really don’t understand what she was saying maybe because I’m too young but know I know. She’s deeply in love with that person.

We returned home and there. Her wedding starts. How cruel right? After a year Tala was born. Even though her mother doesn’t love the guy he married, Tala’s mother took good care of her and loves her like nobody else.

Until one day, same curse happened. She need to get married with the person she doesn’t like that’s why she run away and came here.

See? Like mother like daughter” Angel giggles.

“Her mother wasn’t worried. She was laughing actually. She knows Tala than anyone else but she told me to follow her and there!

I took this chance so that I could repay the person who saved me before. He was the reason why I’m still alive. And the hunt starts!” Angel explained.

“That was cruel” I answered

“What do you mean? Saving me?”

“No, I mean what happened to Tala’s mother. It wasn’t fair”

“The world was never fair”

There was a sudden silence and I look at her and started patting her head.

“Always remember this Angel. There’s no life being born without meaning. Just like what you said you might not know the answer yet and yes! You’re correct we’ll find the reason soon” said I

“Life might be tough but always look at the bright side. No matter how long the night is, the sun will always rise again” I continued.

Then I realized that Angel’s face was turning red.

“By the way do you know who’s the guy that Tala’s mother in love with?”

“Yes it was-“

She wasn’t able to continue because someone interrupted.

“It was me” Said someone from behind.

It was my father who Tala’s mother loves the most.
