'Hi, Vincent. Strange to see you here.' Replied Lily.

  'Why?'

  'I heard, that your family is quite rich. And I also never saw you here.'

  'I was going by bus before I started walking to school. So I don`t think I am that rich.'

  'Since what day?'

  'Since today. What has happened to your phone? I`ve been trying to test you.'

  'My sister spoiled water on it.'

  'Oh, that`s bad. And does it work?'

  'How do you think? If I didn`t see your email.'

  'What are you going to do?'

  'Cry on the sofa and beg fairy godmother to fix my life.'

  'Did the baby find out how to show her claws? I am very proud of you.'

  'I think I should say thanks, but I don`t see the point.'

  'You are going to make me cry.'

  Coming to school can become better only by seeing Grace.

  'Racy!' Shouted Lily when she saw her in the other part of the hall.

  'Lily, what have happened to your phone?'

  'Why everyone notices that?'

  '21st century. People cannot live even a day without their technologies.'

  'Wow. Firstly hear something so clever from you. And it’s a long story. To cut long story short, Tony spoiled some water on it on purpose.'

  'I am sorry. I can owe you some money.'

  'I don`t have even a 1 percent of any phone's cost. And I was recently fired.'

  'Why?'

  'I haven`t been able to work for more than a month and then I almost completely stopped coming because of the family.'

  'Lucas was so upset, wasn`t he?'

  'Yes, he was, but he could do nothing. Now I am in search of a job.'

  'I`ll try to help you.'

  'Thanks. I would really appreciate that.'

  After hard school-day, Lily came home and saw something on her pillow. It was a black box with red bow and a small letter. " Happy past birthday, geek with claws". She opened the box and saw the new phone. It was much better, then her previous one. 

  She decided to write Vincent.

- Thanks a lot but I have one question.

- Sure, geeky.

- How did we become friends? Or do I want to know how I would pay for it?

- It`s my old one. It was useless. Hope you like it.

- Are you kidding? It`s like twice as good as my old one. Wouldn`t your parents be against your generosity?

- It was lying on a shelf for 2 years. No one needs it. Can we meet in Hoolly park at 6 p.m.?.

- Do I have any possibility to say no?

- Of course, you don`t.

  Lily was touched by the present but still was afraid that she would be called a thief and will spend a life in prison. She was quite a paranoic when it comes to things she doesn`t understand. However, she had to prepare for the meeting. She wore a classic tight red dress, black leather jacket and a pair of black trainers. Lily even put some nude makeup on.

  'You look gorgeous, sweetheart. Should I know his name?' Mentioned Mr Gilbert when Lily passed him on her way out.

  'I don`t think so. See you later, Mr Gilbert.' Said Lily and happily left the house.

  The sun went down and the street became too dark, so Lily started going faster. 

  'Lily!' Shouted Vincent.

  'Hi again. Did something happen to you?' Asked Lily.

  'Yeah. I need your help. My parents are divorcing, and they ask me to choose with whom I want to stay.'

  'I think, you asked wrong person. I had no choice. And I also don’t know your parents. Can you tell me something about them? '

  'My mom is kind and polite person but don’t want to have a child like me. And so does my father. They just want to have a reason to sent me to an orphanage.'

  'I am so sorry. That`s so bad. You should choose anyone if that is the real plan.'

  'Lily, you’re best from all knows how people can be bad.'

  'Yes, but I don’t believe that is true. Your parents can’t be so bad.'

  'I was the same idea as you a few days ago, but now I am not sure whether they want me even to be alive. Money kills all good in person. They don’t want to continue paying for me. I have heard how my mom was saying to dad that I am not the mistake which worths so much money.'

  'I must mention that you won`t go to orphanage. You are almost 18. You will just be left on your own.'

  'Thanks, that was exactly what I needed to hear!' Bellowed Vincent.

  'Don`t worry. I know what it is like to be in a stalemate.'

  'You have always been helped by someone. Mr Gilbert, Grace and many others!'

  'And you can be. I mean, do you still have rich friends?'

  'Do you think they will even talk to homeless? No one of them needs me without a penny in my pocket.'

  'Vincent, you cannot be...' Tried to say Lily when she heard her name.

  'Lily!' Yelled someone from Lily`s back.

  'Mrs Asleen? What are you doing here?' Asked Lily.

  'Your dad mentioned that you had a bad mood yesterday.' Explained Kate.

  'Is that the reason of your coming?'

  'No, of course not. I just wanted to apologize for my words. I will explain to you that but a bit later. You are not ready for that.'

  'Ready for what?'

  'Later. Will you keep coming?'

  'I love Mr Gilbert and this is important for him, so I think that the answer is yes.'

  'Please, mention if something such as this is happening in your life. You can make a huge mistake that would lead to the worst results.'

  'It’s not the best time to talk.' Said Lily.

  She turned back, but there was no Vincent in the park. 'Maybe, he went home.' Thought Lily when rain started, and she could hardly run because of the wet road on her way home. She soaked but the feeling of worry was even stronger. Vincent needed her help and Lily couldn`t do it.
