І знов на тім я самім місці, І знову розпач бачу в мисці, І знов у небі сяє Сонце, І знов зачинене віконце, І знов світає, знов тьмяніє, І знов кричить і знову ниє, І знов мене дзьоба ворона, І знов в душі тяжіє втома, І знов стіну лиш сіру бачу, І знов вірші пишу і плачу, І знов у сутінках я спати, І знов світання не вітати, І знов гадаю ще немає, І знову смисл пропадає, І знов мій страх, бажання смерті Зійшлись в бою - всі горді, вперті, На дворі темінь опадає: Знов в душі вогник запалає...

And later I looked back to get a sense This empty glance was hellish call of past. It used to be a high and strong defense Against the world, the pain and me at last. You looked at me, and peering in your soul, I felt so lonely, as something vital died. And that is what I fear most of all - That nothing gentle will remain inside. Inside of you. Inside of me as well. And nothing will be said to farewell.
