Говорять всі: «Потрібно вміти відпускати!» Але тримав би вічно рученьки твої, Тендітно-лагідні, чи ніжно-теплі шати, Сапфіри-очі, мов ті зорі вдалині. Така ось ти у пам’яті моїй остання, Чи ті думки вже бавляться, немов дитя? Хотів тоді сказати дещо на прощання, Але не зміг. На жаль. Усе ж – таке життя… Обійми, їх лишень я добре пам’ятаю, І посмішку обличчя, голос твій і сміх… Далеко ти, щаслива, леле – я це знаю, Та хто і де тобі сказав: «Кохання – гріх!»? Воно крихке, але приємне. Знаю, Але на відстані нема йому життя. Лише у сні, у квітах серед чарів гаю Та злота посмішка все капає з лиця. І сяду я, і гляну тихо біля тебе. Гаряче полум’я щезає, не зника. Розцвів дерев тих шум, і сяє сріблом небо. Ти поряд. Вірю! І надіюся сповна… Обійми, лиш обійми добре пам’ятаю, У тілі й у вухах все линеє той спів. «Потрібно вміти відпускати», - добре знаю, Але… тоді навіщо я тебе зустрів?
