Aaron's Apartment

08:30

*ring ring... ring ring...*

The sound of the alarm ringing out throughout Aaron's bedroom broke the peaceful silence of a most ordinary Saturday morning. Ordinary for the rest of the world, that is. Except for two teenagers in particular...

Aaron jumped out of bed as soon as the alarm he placed the night before went off. Quite an unusual occurrence for a sleep-loving young man such as himself. He quickly swiped up on his phone, successfully turning off the alarm, as he stretched energetically. "Today, is the day..." He uttered to himself as a smile formed on his lips. "Now, I'd better get out there!" The young man moved to the bathroom in an attempt to freshen up before he geared up for a morning superhero patrol. He had to get that out of the way before he could leisurely spend the rest of the day solely as Aaron Beckett; just a teenager out on a date.

Olivia's Apartment

09:00

*ring ring... ring ring...*

The usual ringing sound of the alarm went off at exactly 9 o'clock, upsetting the silence of the Marshall household. The blonde girl, opened her eyelids groggily, but soon realized the importance of the day she woke up to. She jumped like a spring, as she tapped her table clock and stretched her arms out with a grin. "Today's the day..." She glanced at her calendar, smiling to herself, maybe a bit wider than she had realize.

"Oh, you're up early!" Her mother commented as she passed by with a cup of coffee in her hands.

"Yeah, I've got a nails appointment, and after that I have to get ready!" She happily claimed while puffing out her chest proudly.

"Ah it was about time, I guess..." Her mother grinned in response as she nodded to herself and continued walking down the hallway. Although, Olivia didn't quite get her comment she just brushed off and walked to the bathroom.

Aaron's Apartment

14:12

Aaron swiftly opened his window and masterfully slipped inside, closing it back up again. "Patrol, done!" He proudly exclaimed as he removed his high-tech piece of equipment and remained only in his underwear. "I'll have to at least look presentable, and I have almost 4 hours to do so..." The teenager muttered as he brought his hand to his chin. "Yeah I think I'll manage just fine!" He quickly turned on his heels and made for the shower. After a thorough cleaning of every inch of his body, and after double washing himself just to be sure, he hopped out of shower with a towel around his lower body. Just as he was combing his hair, suddenly his phone rang, and quite an unexpected name popped up.
Sister
It wrote in big bold letters as Aaron picked it up with a swipe of his thumb. "Hey Aaron!" Quite the energetic voice rang out as soon as the teenager accepted the call.
"Hey Blair, what's up?" Aaron replied somewhat casually as he leaned on his office slightly.
"Oh nothing, I just wanted to know what my little brother is up to!" She continued on the same feverishly cheerful tone.
"Uh not much, actually it so happens that today, I'm going out on a date." A smug grin spread across his face
"NO WAY!" His sister shouted inside his ear, as the phone flew off his hand.
"Stop shouting!" He replied after catching it mid-air
"Sorry but you should have warned me first! And what was that "Uh not much" act, huh? Not much, my buttocks!"
"Well you've got a point..."
"Anyway, who is this girl?"
"A neighbor of mine... She lives downstairs and we actually attend the same school. Not to mention we have similar hobbies! Can you believe that she actually plays Older Scrolls?!"
"Older Scrolls? Is that one of your games?"
"Yeah, I've told you countless times about it though, so you should have remembered..."
"Haha... My bad." A silence ensued as Blair, Aaron's sister, took a deep, almost content, breath.
"You must really like her, though." She commented as Aaron almost chocked on air.

"I... Yeah... I think I do." The teenager hesitantly admitted.
"I'm so proud of you, Aaron. Love is a wonderful thing."
"Yeah, thanks sis." The teenager replied as he recalled Steinn's pained expression while he uttered the exact same line as his sister.
"I don't know if I should really go through with all this, though..." Aaron voiced, talking more to himself than his sister.
"What do you mean?" She asked in a curious tone
"Ah..." He exclaimed having realized he said that out loud
"I mean I don't know if I should be getting into this type of relationship, while being the way I am right now... But you can't understand what I'm actually saying so yeah... don't worry, though. I'll figure something out." Aaron explained vaguely, but to the best of his abilities, nonetheless. Given the circumstances of course
"I don't know what's eating away at you, but you can always trust your big sister, you know." Blair said, her voice taking on a more caring tone
"I know, Blair. And thank you." Aaron simply said
"You don't know how awful it makes me feel knowing that you're all alone..." She uttered as if she was physically in pain.
"Don't worry about it, really. I already know that you're doing it for me, for us. So we can have a better life. So it's seriously no big deal. I mean no matter where you are, we're always connected to each other." The teenager said with a warm smile, which was more to himself than anything, since the person conversing with him wasn't actually there.
"Awww! You're the sweetest little brother! I didn't know you could say cheesy stuff like that!" Blair's voice burst out through her phone causing Aaron to throw it in the air in surprise.
"Hey,I told you to stop shouting!" He complained after he caught the device mid-air yet again
"...Also when I say connected I mean via technology, like phones, internet and stuff, and not connected through the heart or some sappy crap like that!" Aaron said making a quick excuse.
"You're such a tsundere, Aaron!" His sister simply replied after a light giggle.
"Anyway, where you gonna take her today?" She asked before the usual silence could ensue.
"I've already booked a table for two in a fancy Italian restaurant and after that I'm planning to take her somewhere with a nice view, like the beach or something... Pretty cool, right?" He smiled at himself proudly as he explained his plans
"It actually sounds ideal, but..." Blair hesitated for a moment
"But...?"
"But that's stuff for grown-ups, you know? Have you considered the cost? Or have you both ever been there before?" She voiced earnestly.
"Well, I for sure haven't been to a place like that before..." Aaron bluntly admitted
"See?"
"Arrgh! Don't worry, everything will turn out fine, I promise."
"Okay then, I trust you. But don't forget to have fun, okay? Because dates are all about having fun. No matter the place." Blair advised her brother in a sincere tone
"I'll keep that in mind, Blair. Thanks."
"So, when you meeting up with her?"
"I'm supposed to pick her up around 6... Well I say pick her up, but actually all I have to do is go downstairs."
"Oh no! You have less than 3 hours to get ready! You better hurry!" Blair sounded almost as if she was panicking.
"Hey, chill! 3 hours is more than plenty!"
"It is? Haha, I might have gotten quite carried away there..." She giggled to herself.
After that, they wrapped up their call in a matter of seconds.

It's been a while since I talked to her like that...

Aaron said while smiling at the disconnected call. His sister, a hardworking woman in her late 20s, hardly had any time for herself, let alone having the time to call her brother day in day out. But that didn't mean they grew apart. In the contrary, their relationship was of a kind that both could go days without talking to each other, but it would all be the same when they met back up again. "Now let's do something about you, pal..." He muttered as he looked at the mirror.

Olivia's Room

14:43

"Hmm... Not bad... Not bad, at all." Olivia voiced proudly while gazing at her freshly painted white glossy nails. "Now let's see here..." She uttered to herself yet again, as she slid her blush pink wardrobe open. "He said we were going to that fancy Italian restaurant, Oregano Italia, so..." The young woman pressed her index finger against her chin, while thinking of the best outfit. Her blonde silky hair was tied up on a spontaneous bun and she was on her black and purple pajamas with a white towel hanging from her neck. "What if I go with a cute blouse and a skirt...?" She muttered while tracing her finger along the garments hanging about. "Nah... Too informal..." The blonde girl hung her head. "What if I just wear a shirt and jeans? No... that's even more informal!" She exclaimed in frustration. "I literally have nothing to wear..." She muttered while crouching on her knees in disappointment.

"I knew you'd say that." Olivia's mother said while peeking inside her daughter's room from her open door.

"Mom?" Olivia uttered in a serious questioning tone.

"...That's why I brought you this!" Her mother announced happily while revealing a piece of clothing behind her back.

"Oh my god...! This is actually... Amazing!" Olivia exclaimed in shock with her spirits instantly elevated.

Aaron's Room

17:56

"Okay..." Aaron muttered while fixing himself up and ran a hand through his hair. "Hair..." He voiced while looking at his hair, which he had combed backwards and slightly to the side. "...Check." The young man uttered with a nod. "Clothes..." He voiced yet again as he glanced at his body this time around. He was wearing a light button-down shirt, which he had tucked inside a white pair of skinny but not too tight chino pants and a pair of white canvas sneakers. "I have to say I feel a tad bit overdressed... and if I'm being honest that shirt isn't comfortable at all... but it looks kinda good, so check nonetheless." Aaron admitted as he moved to his wardrobe. "Watch... check." He said while strapping a silver bracelet around his wrist. "Watches, actually." The young man sprung up as he remembered his "Wraith Watch" (that's exactly what Aaron calls it) which he tucked inside his pocket. "Cologne, check. Wallet check!" Aaron said to himself one more time after he sprayed himself with a fragrance and walked to the door. But before he walked outside, he took one last look at himself.

Do I look... good? I'm not overdressed, am I? She won't take me for a complete fool if I show up like this... right? Maybe I should wear something more casual... Or maybe I should cancel it all together! Ahh, I'm so nervous!

Aaron's thoughts have started running wild as he got a call from none other than the person in question.

"Hey." A gentle voice, which seemed like sweet music to Aaron's ears, echoed through the phone.
"Hey uhm... I'm on my way now, okay?" Aaron voiced, trying to sound as calm and collected as possible.
"Okay, I'm waiting." The girl simply replied, in an effort to calm herself down.
The call ended and Aaron took a deep breath, before heading out.

You're gonna have the time of your life... Relax...

He gave himself a mental talking-to as he took yet another big breath before locking up and finally descended the stairs.

Marshall Household

18:02

"Are you going out?" Olivia's father inquired as he peeked from the top of the newspaper he was reading. He retreated the paper from in front of his face as he took a good look at his daughter who was checking herself out in front of the mirror. "Well, I guess you are..." He muttered while giving her a stare from head to toe.

"Dad?" She turned on her heels and gave him her worried look.

"What's wrong sweetie?" Her dad replied immediately.

"Do I look okay?" Olivia asked.

"Robert, sweetheart, just tell her what you think. Honestly." Her mom said while walking back to the living room, wearing an absolutely exhausted expression.

"Honestly girl, you look absolutely dazzling!" Was Mister Robert's reply, accompanied by a chef kiss.

"Really?" His daughter couldn't help but smile at the praise.

"Yes I've been telling you, you look amazing!!" Her mother joined in.

"Okay... Okay..." Olivia said in an attempt to calm herself down. She took a look at the mirror one more time. She was wearing a pink blush cotton A-line rounded neck floral dress, which her mother had bought for her on the same day. As far as shoes were considered she had a pair of pink flats with straps and a pearl flower shoe clip on each one. She also had a small heart necklace worn around her neck and the look was topped off with a light pink scrunchie around her forearm. She had her doubts about her attire, and the flats weren't as comfortable as she would have hoped but what concerned her even more was her face. It was actually the second time in her life she had actually worn make-up. The first time was actually at her aunt's wedding so it didn't really count. She leaned forward and took a good look at her mascara, and her glossed lips. Those were the only makeup items she had used, and they weren't even necessary, since she was a natural good looker.

"What are you looking at? You're gonna be late!" Her mother reminded her of the time and she practically jumped up.

"You're right! I have to go!" Was all she said as she made for the door and after waving her parents goodbye, and promising to come back early, she stepped out of the house.

"She's going out with Aaron, right?" Robert asked while looking at his wife who nodded with a smile.

"That's good. Thank god, our daughter didn't fall in love with some punk. He's actually a pretty decent kid." Olivia's father smiled to himself as he noticed his daughter was growing up. But he also felt a strong sense of relief that she wasn't going out with some random guy, but instead with someone he had met before. Although he didn't know what Aaron was hiding, he knew he could trust him for some reason. The both of them had met for the first time sometime after that jewelry store heist, although it wasn't the first time for Aaron.

"They grow up so fast..." Olivia's mother said as she got all teary-eyed.

Outside Olivia's House

18:10

"You're late..." Olivia commented, while noticing Aaron who was just going down the stairs.

"And you..." The young man paused for a moment as he gave her a wide-eyed stare.

"...Look amazing." He simply spelled out, making her go red even up to her ears.

"You don't look bad yourself." She commented while looking away. "Actually you look good. Definitely not bad!" The young girl continued in a flustered tone.

"Oh no! Is it the hair?" Aaron voiced worriedly bringing his hands to his head.

"No! It's great I promise!" Olivia reassured him as she nodded passionately.

"Okay then... shall we go?"

"Yes... we shall."

It was then that they both realized...

The big day has come...
