I quickly crawled out of the house through the back door and rushed to enter my house through the back door hoping Amber won't see me sneaking in, thank heavens she wasn't in sight so I gathered myself together and headed to my room upstairs, I was still shaking from the incidence and I was curious to know what was happening with Ryan and mom, despite our argument I was still worried about him and I was hoping mom won't be suspicious of anything. I got tired of waiting for her to leave Ryan's house so I threw myself on my bed with my head sinking in my beddings while processing what just happened, I just wanted to scream, shout, cry at the same time I can't believe I screwed up, I shouldn't have brought up Rachel in our argument and it was so wrong of me to say something like that about him. I kept kicking my feet up and down my bed try to calm myself and telling myself that everything will be fine. Shortly I heard my bedroom door open and for a while I caught my breath curious to know who walked in but later let out a deep breath of relief after hearing Amber's voice.

"Are you okay?" she said as she walked towards me with the sound of her heels tapping on my floor.

I faced the other way as I wiped myself without her noticing then looked at her as I tried to put up a brave face which I think didn't come out right because there were so many emotions I had at that time, here I am so close to the person who brought confusion in my relationship, I was so angry at her and I just wanted to punch her in the face.
I cleared my throat and said,

"yes, why do you ask?"

"because I saw you walking into the house through the back door like you were trying to run away from something or someone."

How the F*** did she see me, I thought no one was around, so now not only is she a boyfriend stealer but she's also a stalker? gosh I hate this woman.

" look I know you don't like me and it's natural, I understand even I wouldn't like some girl been all over my man every now and then. Oh yes I know all about you and Ryan, I've seen the way you two have been around each other and well I saw you kissing him at your party but don't worry your mother doesn't know about it. "

What the heck, she know about us and she's intentionally been trying to break us up, how evil can she be?
I sat up straight looking at her in the most angrily way waiting for her to have a better explanation for this.

" I didn't mean to cause problems between the two of you I thought I was only helping"

"by trying to break us up?!!"

"because of the age difference I thought that this was going no where"

"and who are you to decide what's good and what's not good for us, we knew exactly what we were doing when we got in that relationship"

"I just to want say I'm sorry and after I spent some time with him I saw just how much he cares about you, that day when Ryan and I went out on a date and came back the next day, nothing happened between the two of us, I tried to get close to him but he held me back, he told me about this girl he loved so much and I just figured it was you. We didn't come back the same day because I got sick after drinking so much and I didn't want you or Elena to see me in that way so I begged him to stay with me for the night at the hospital. "

I didn't know whether to believe her or not but what if she was telling me the truth, she held my hand and said,

" look I know that your relationship with Ryan seems impossible but what is meant to be will be, I'm not against your relationship but instead I'm hoping the best for the both of you, true love waits and if he loves you as much as I think he does or even more he can wait for you, finish high school, then later you can decide what you want. "

Suddenly I heard the door open downstairs open and shut and we both assumed it was mom, we both stood up and headed downstairs and I was trembling with fear hoping she didn't see me leave his house.

" Elena so how did it go, what took you so long. "

" Mrs Duncan is what happened, that woman can talk for hours and it's unbearable but good news is I finally gave the paperwork and that's what matters. Oh and on my way to her house I stopped by Ryan's house I don't but I think heard an argument between two people and when I got there it didn't seem like anybody else was there which I found that to be weird, "

" an argument? "Amber asked

" yes but he told me it was some client he's had issues with which I find to be ironic cause he couldn't even let me in "
" maybe he didn't want you to meet his client, you know keeping it professional "
" maybe, honey when did you get back I was worried about you I called Tessa and she said you weren't with her, "

" I went to the library"
"okay, have you had anything to eat?".
"we were waiting for you Elena, we can prepare something nice  just the three of us, what do you think?"
