Попереду - важка сіра дорога Таких же сірих європейських міст. Під сяйво місяця ясного і чужого, Будується новий життєвий зміст Попереду - вже кава і заправки. І сміх людський замість гучних сирен. Позаду - "Мам, я дуже хочу їсти" Під шум доріг і серця сильний щем. Позаду ночі у підвалах і повітряні тривоги. Дитячий плач під звуки літаків. Щоденні телефонні мами настанови: "Ховай дитину і сама виходити не смій!" Попереду - ще кілометри й кілометри, Холодний сірий чужоземний дощ. В машині запах тих домашніх светрів, А у думках гарячий мамин борщ. Попереду - нове незвідане життя. Воно чуже, цікаве і страшне. Та вже назад немає вороття. І як колись - ніколи не буде...
