It isn't something that someone does, it's something that someone feels." For example nervousness is a feeling. When you're nervous you'll be doing things nervously. When you're in love, you'll be doing things in love. But those things aren't a proof of you're love. Love isn't materialistic, it's unconditional. So if someone tells you, that they love you, that would be the same as they happy you, they sad you, they nervous you, and therefore it doesn't mean anything until you feel their love... .)
