Chapter 39 - Vampire Hunter
The courtyard was huge, it was one big square with a small sandstone fence all around overlooking the Queen's Garden. In each of the corners stood a statue, each a different colour of famous heroes. There was The Fire Empress, built with a burning rock almost like it spilled magma. Another was of Empress Adrianna made for a shining silver ore. One was of Trivia built in pure white pearl and the final one, was of Oblivion, The Dragon Father. His was the biggest and it was made using dragon bone. However close the the fence right in front was a pillar which seemed empty, like a statue was still yet to be placed,

"Quite the collection, so is this everyone you beat in a duel?" asked Mialta looking at each of the statues,

"No, these statues represent everyone I drawed with" replied Red,

"There's one missing",

"That's reserved for whoever beats me" he replied looking at Mialta with a devilish smile,

They both walked to the center while Julliuz and Trivia stood by the door watching. As they approached the centre, they both split left and right, having about 15 metres between each other. They both stared at each other, both with the intent to win, to not give up what they need the most,

"Your Highness?" asked Julliuz,

"I'm ready",

"Mialta Élead?",

"I'm more than ready" she replied taking a battle stance,

"Begin!" shouted Julliuz,

Suddenly Mialta disappeared, not to be seen without a trace. Red calmly scanned the area,

"Invisibility? I guess being a Nobless gives you some perks" said Red with a smile "But I have perks of my own",

Red crossed his arms as if to show no fear. Mialta got angry all of the sudden and reapeared behind him,

"Will you not even draw your sword? Do you wish to die?",

"An woman revealing herself to talk to her opponent, how careless. Truly, you have never seen true War" Red responded laughing "I do not require to draw my sword to beat you",

Mialta once again disappeared,

"Amarela" said Red,

Suddenly sparks emerged from the sword and hit the ground, they spread all across the courtyard. There was no sound, until one of the bolts hit Mialta's spear, making a ringing metal sound,

"Found you" he grunted,

Mialta appeared once more but this time, the spear appeared to be giving of the ringing that Red heard earlier along with small sparks,

"I know you vampires are immune to lightning attacks, but, I wasn't aiming for you" he said with a grin "that ringing will continue for as long as the spear is electrified, so being invisible is basically useless",

Mialta twitched in anger and planted her spear onto the ground, grounding the lightning still in it and making the ringing stop,

"Why would Red reveal his attack to her" asked Trivia as she stared at the duel,

"Because His Highness isn't trying to win" Julliuz replied,

"What?" she asked surprised,

"Let me ask you Your Highness, why do you think your statue is up there?",

"Because we had a draw" Trivia replied with confidence,

"Yes, but that isn't the sole reason" Julliuz explained "Krul also fought His Highness, but her statue isn't anywhere to be seen. And the answer as to why is because she didn't learn",

"What do you mean Julliuz?",

"His Highness isn't trying to win just as he didn't try to win against the others, he's trying to teach",

Mialta suddenly dashed towards Red aiming her spear at his back. The attack however, was fruitless. Suddenly Alma, Red's sword, sprang out of its scabbard and blocked her attack. Without Red even moving a muscle. He kept his arms crossed and had a huge smile on his face. Maltia however, had a surprised and scared look on her. She dashed backwards, taking a defensive stance,

"Impossible! No object in the world can be controlled without commands" shouted Mialta,

"It seems Gália didn't tell you everything about the sword" Red said turning around to face her,

"It seems not" she replied,

The sword started hovering above Red, keeping the point of the blade aimed at it's scabbard, almost like it didn't want to fight,

"So lightning won't hurt you" Red said aloud "But what about fire! Vermelha!",

Suddenly the sword started glowing red and a flamethrower started attacking Mialta. She dodged the attack but it was constantly targeting her. She dodged right, dodged left, even tried blocking the attack with her staff. But the fire kept coming,

"Branca" Red said aloud again,

Suddenly the sword stopped the attack and went back to hovering, but instead of attacking, it multiplied. Suddenly there was 3 flying swords above him,

"Lightning, Fire, Copycat. Just how many abilities does that sword have!?" screamed Mialta,

"Counting of the top of my head, I'd say about 33. However there's 7 I still don't know about" Red answered sincerely,

"T-that's not possible..." she mumbled with shock "No weapon would ever be able to be that strong, even if it did belong to a Hero",

"Anyway, I believe you said earlier that I shouldnt hide my true self, am I correct? Well then, let me show you what true power looks like" Red told Mialta,

Suddenly the swords flew up in the air and came crashing down, placing themselves n a triangle form around Red. He moves his hands outwards and then slammed them together into a praying position. Suddenly his eyes grew ever red, glowing to the point it looked like light was emerging from it,

"Bring forth pain. Bring forth sorrow. Bring forth the death of my enemies and the life of my friends. For I was cursed to this world and no chains hold me to it. No man nor beast have free will as  the game of the gods control all...",

"W-wait, now hold on! Your Majesty please think about this!" Mialta pleaded in fear,

"I stood atop the highest peak of power so I can truly feel weekness, for in this world there is nothing comparative to the feeling of loss. Winning is a mere illusion. I have seen pain, I have felt sorrow. But in the final moments, I will cause death. I will bring life. All it takes is the turn of a key, Gate of Nydius!" he screamed as he finished his incantation,

Suddenly a loud bell could be heard, a sound so powerfull it almost shook the ground. It kept ringing in intervals of 4 seconds. After the third ring, a giant gate appeared behind Red. It was massive. Almost as tall as the castle itself. It hung in the air staring down at Mialta. The gate appeared to be made from gold and silver, at the top there was a giant eye which was closed, while in each corner of the gate there was a hand as if it was holding the gate together,

"Open the gates of the Silver City and consume my enemy before me!" shouted Red,

Mialta started quivering in fear and fell to the ground as the giant eye on the gate opened. The very embodiment of her  darkest fears and terrors flowed into her body like a sharp blade cutting through butter. The eye was pure black with a single golden retina staring straight at her. The gates slowly started opening. Black mist started emerging from the gap but the insides couldn't be seen. Suddenly however, Trivia walked into the arena,

"Trivia?" asked Red in confusion losing his composure,

"Red, that's enough!" she shouted at him with anger in her voice,

Suddenly Red became surprised and the gate vanished into thin air. The 3 swords on the floor suddenly jumped up and merged together, sliding into its scabbard afterwards. Everything went back to normal, except Red was still standing, while Mialta was on her knees unable to move and Trivia in front of her cross armed as if to protect her,

"But why? DID SHE NOT WANT TO KILL ME? DID SHE NOT WANT TO SEE MY TRUE SELF?" Red screamed louder than ever and his voice was almost demonic,

"She's learned Red, look" Trivia said with a gentle voice pointing to the statue of The Fire Empress,

The statue started to crumble away and a new one emerged. It was made from black stone with black smoke emerging from its back and taking shape of bat wings. It was Mialta. She had a total replica of herself just suddenly appear. Red stared in shock but then came to realization. He closed his eyes and gave a small smile, just before leaving, heading inside the castle. Trivia let out a huge sigh of relief before turning back to Mialta who was looking up at her, with tears streaming down her eyes,

"It's a draw",
