It was the morning after and Red woke peacefully in Amelia’s bed. He stared at the wodden ceiling for a bit before looking to his left. The sunshine broke through the window with mighty rays, hitting his eyes. He gently pushed the bed covers away from him and sat up on the left side of the bed, the cold and dusty wooden floor hit his feet like knives. Propping himself, he stood up and stretched his arms high, clicking from his bones were heard throughout the room as he did so. Looking around he could now see the room much clearer. Behind him was the entrance to the room, all around him were books from all shapes and sizes stacked on desks and even the floor almost all the way up to the ceiling. There were open cabinets with jars containing all sorts of ingredients, from plants to dust and even a couple liquids. The room was dusty and Red could see the dust as it ran through the rays coming through the small glass window in front of him. The bed he slept in was low in height but quite large, two wooden stands were by the bed’s sides. One held the burnt out candle which Amelia lit, the other held a red leather covered book. Suddenly a knock on the door averted his attention behind him,

“Yes?” Red replied to the knock,

“May I come in?” a little girls voice came through the door,

“Maria? Yeah of course",

Noises of struggling was heard before the door finally opened. Maria came in and stared at Red with a smile,

“Good morning”,

“To you as well”,

“Amelia asked me to come and get you, apparently she has some important business she needs to talk to you about" Maria said quickly,

“Alright I’ll be right out",

“Kaayy” Maria responded quickly making her way out of the room and closing the door behind her,

Red chuckled a bit before reaching for some clothes at the end of the bed. It appeared Amelia left these for him. They were simple but slim black clothes. The size of the shirt and trousers were about the same as his cotton clothes but they were rougher in texture. Beside the bed were black calf high boots along with some socks. Red quickly got dressed and left the room. As he was about to close the door behind him, Amelia rushed to his side,

“Come with me quickly!” she ordered with a serious but worried tone,

“What’s goi-" Red got interrupted as Amelia grabbed his arm,

She dragged him to the front door and stopped him. Red looked slightly outside the window and some guys were standing outside with full body armour made from simple iron plating, looking like soldiers. Red looked harder and in front of the soldier like guards was another man in elegant clothing holding some roses. He had dark brown hair with hazel eyes. His face was sleek and elegant, making Red guess he was a rich man,

“Who are they?” He asked with confusion,

“Too long to explain, listen all I need you to do is when I call your name just show yourself and stand next to me",

“Why-",

“Just trust me” Amelia interrupted him once again,

She slowly opened the front door, suddenly a smile came over the man’s face,

“Miss Amelia" the man spoke, his voice was soothing and charming,

“Listen Harvey, this isn’t a good time...” she told him,

“No you see-",

Suddenly Red realized what was going on and stepped in of his own accord, interrupting Amelia this time,

“Amelia sweetheart, do you know where my sword is?” He said while grabbing Amelia by the waist “Oh who’s this?”,

The man suddenly lost his smile “Miss Amelia, may I ask who this man is?”,

“He's -" Amelia got interrupted again,

“I’m her boyfriend, and who might you be sir?” Red replied to his question pulling Amelia closer,

The gentleman ignored his question and asked another “Your name? May I know it?”,

“Knaver Firstblood" Red told him,

The man suddenly inspected him carefully. Red used an old vampire name so he was sure that’s what he was looking for,

“No, no, no, not a vampire. Just a mere human trying to live his life” he said to the man with a chuckle,

Amelia starred at Red with surprise,

“Have you known Miss Amelia long?” Harvey asked with curiosity,

“Oh yes quite” suddenly Red looked at Amelia “Ever since I knew she could cast magic, I fell in love with her",

Harvey took a step back and bowed “Well then I don’t mean to intrude. Mr Knaver, Miss Amelia, have a pleasant day" he said before turning around and leaving with the guards,

Red waved with a cheeky grin and closed the door, the entire time Amelia didn’t let her eyes avert from Red. As the door closed, Red let out a small sigh before looking at Amelia,

“What?”,

“You’re getting more impressive the more I know about you",

“What do you mean?” Red asked with confusion,

Amelia didn’t reply and walked away with a smile. She then looked at Maria that was standing near her room entrance with a small bag. She signalled her to come near her and Maria ran to Amelia’s side,

“Going somewhere Maria?” Red asked,

Maria looked at Amelia and Amelia looked at Red,

“You asked if we wanted to come with you right? Well...” Amelia replied to the question aimed at the girl,

Suddenly Red came to realization, remembering what he said that night to Amelia. His face went from realization to smiling ,

“Well I just need a few thing to sort before we can leave" Amelia told him,

“Wha- now? We’re leaving now?” He asked with shock,

“Do it now or never, right?” she replied to him with a beautiful smile,

Red closed his eyes and nodded his head “You know? You’re getting more impressive the more I know about you" he told her repeating her words back to her,

Amelia suddenly blushed with shock in her face. Red laughed a bit before asking,

“So, you sure you want to leave with me?”,

“Yes, we both are”,

“Alma!” he shouted,

Suddenly his sword went flying through the air and landed right on his right hand. Amelia and Maria had a surprising look, Maria herself had a glitter in her eyes,

“Well then, I’m waiting on you!” Red said with confidence and a smile,
