“You're… you're betrothed?” Amelia asked in shock shaking slightly,

Red noticed some hostility as well as shame come from Amelia. Maria was in confusion on why she was acting in such a way,

“Well, were not actually getting married” he explained trying to calm her down,

“It doesn’t matter, you are betrothed, and yesterday night we-" Amelia shouted at him before interrupting herself from saying something she'd regret saying aloud,

“I know, I know, but like I said, it’s complicated. Besides, I don’t regret what we did",

Amelia’s face went red with anger and embarrassment. Maria just looked at both of them with confusion. Before Amelia’s emotions got out of hand, she calmed herself, letting out a whimper of defeat,

Red gave a small smile “I told you, being with me is the hardest thing you'll ever experience”,

Amelia was about to have a go at him before noticing an oncoming carriage. It was small cart being pulled by a single horse. At the reins was an old gentleman with a long beard, along with a young man. Both had dark brown hair and gentle skin. They were wearing simple clothes, but they seemed well taken care of,

“That’s weird, nobody ever takes this road" Amelia said wondering what they were doing traveling along this path,

As the carriage came closer to them, it stopped. The carriage stopped by Red’s horse and the gentleman and found man gave a bow before speaking,

“Good morning sir, as well as to you ladies",

“Good morning to you both as well" Red replied to the greeting “Sir I know it’s sudden, but, may I ask why you travel these roads?”,

“Hmm, is my travelling through this road a caution to be given?”,

Suddenly Amelia cut in “No good sir, it’s just this road is untraveled by many, so it’s a surprise to see you traveling here",

“Ahh I see” the man said with a chuckle, before turning to Red “Well I think it’s customs to exchange names before conversation, do you not agree my good man”,

“Of course. I am Red, son of Nydius and Ellenor. These are travelling companions, Amelia and the child is Maria. The horses you see are Gallop, Strutter and Belle" Red told the man,

As he did so Amelia, Maria along with the three horses gave a small bow to the travelling pair,

The gentleman gave a small laugh before replying “A pleasure to all, my name Gastor, son of the Lavender Family. This is my son, Herald",

“A pleasure to both" Red gently said to the both of them “Wait... Lavender? Like the Healers?”,

“Yes indeed, you know of my family?” the man asked surprised,

“Of course, 76 years of Medicinal and Magic healing and one of the biggest forefronts for healing magic in Kings Rose" Red responded,

“I lived in Kings Rose for a couple of years. A woman called Frieda from the Lavender Family helped me some time ago",

“Ahh yes, I know of the name. She would be my sister" the man explained “So you’d like to know why we travel this road?”,

“Yes good sir" Amelia said to him,

“We are making way to the Elven Territory”,

Red suddenly became surprised. Normally humans are not allowed to enter the Elven Kingdom and such a man from a strong family should know better. Also, assuming they have travelled from Kings Rose, this must have been quite a travel so far considering Kings Rose is to the very North of Rive,

“May I ask why you travel to the Elves?” Red asked,

“Kings Rose was under attack by a dragon, so I and my family will seek help with a friend from there",

“A dragon!?” Amelia asked in shock “Is the Dragonic Kingdom starting a war with the Human Kingdom?”,

“I’m sorry, I wouldn’t know. We witnessed the beast attacking the capital, but other from that...”,

“What about his Highness?” Red asked with an angry look,

“Apparently he is safe and the Royal Guard was able to draw the dragon away so his majesty could escape",

“Lies...” he mumbled,

“I’m sorry?” the man asks looking at him funnily,

“Oh nothing, do not worry. Anyway thank you for the information”,

The man just gently nodded,

“Well we wish you good travels good sir, young man”,

“Likewise to you three. Before we make haste, may I ask where you are heading?”,

“Savanna” Red responded,

“That’ll be quite the travel, I wish you luck",

“And good weather" Red said with a chuckle,

“Yes, yes. Well, sir, ladies, enjoy you travels",

Red just nodded. The older gent gave a small whip of the reins of the horse and the carriage slowly started moving. Red, Amelia and Maria gave a small wave and headed their way. After a while, Amelia asked,

“You were in Kings Rose?”,
