Якщо я вмру, то знай, Кохав тебе безмежно я. Кохав, мов той папуга, Що обрав навік собі подругу. Кохав безмежно, ніжно, із любов'ю Плекаючи у мріях нашу зустріч із тобою. Проте ти знай, Що вмер я не своєю смертю. Помер від кулі вражої, Що у потилицю поцілили мені. Поцілену немилосердним ворогом, Який прийшов на мою землю убивать. Проте ти знай, Що перед смертю Я Бога попрошу тебе Мені хранить. І ти живи, не дивлячись На той тяжкий тягар, Що ляже на твої тендітні, Ніжні плечі. Ти пам'ятай, що я завжди з тобою.
