Chapter 15
"So, your saying that we should ambush them?" Maximillian asked calmly.
Arthur nodded while his eyes were fixated on the map that was placed delicately on the table before them.
"Doesn't this seem like an impulsive move though? The enemy might be one step ahead of us even as we speak. Do you really think this is the right move?" Maximillian stared at Arthur.
"I've never been more sure of this, Max. You worry too much." Arthur said while chuckling at the end.
Maximillian sighed deeply and looked down at the map.
"Do you even know where their base is?" Maximillian asked.
"Why would I suggest this idea, Max, If I don't even know where their base is?" Arthur looked at Maximillian, confused and annoyed.
"This doesn't seem right. I just feel like we should wait." Maximillian mumbled in his mouth.
"The more we wait, the more the enemy has chances of attacking us." Arthur said annoyed.
There was a moment of silence before Arthur spoke again.
"Listen, I have to be somewhere. I'll come back later." Arthur said while turning around.
"Where are you going?" Maximillian asked as he stood up from his chair.
"I'll be back." Arthur said and stepped out of the door.

Arthur stepped inside an inn. It had orange lights and wooden floorboards. The laughter of people was heard from almost every table.
Arthur had worn a black cloak that covered his body and a black mask that covered half of his face. Arthur chose a certain table that was in the corner.
"What can I get for you, good sir?" A young man asked Arthur.
"Water is fine." Arthur replied without making eye contact.
The waiter nodded and went away.
At that same time, two young men entered the door, with serious looks. Arthur's eyes immediately drifted towards them. They took the table that was in front of Arthur.
"Two glasses of water!" One of them shouted towards the waiter and the waiter nodded abruptly.
The two people started mumbling something, that Arthur couldn't even make out the words.
The waiter came back to Arthur with his water. He was about to leave, but Arthur gripped his arm.
"Do you have any clue who these two are?" Arthur said in a soft voice.
"Oh, those two? These young men come here quite often. Twice every week.
They are foreigners though, they aren't from here."
The waiter said quietly.
"Foreigners? From where?" Arthur asked himself.
"Don't have any idea. They are quite peculiar. Sometimes, they come here in groups, and sometimes they come here alone." The waiter said while staring at the two men.
"Hm, I see. Well, thank you." Arthur said as the waiter nodded once again and went away.
Arthur drank his water and stayed there for a few minutes. The two men stood up and went towards the door, as they exited.
Arthur quickly got up and went followed them.
The two seperated as Arthur followed one of them.
The man stoped halfway, making Arthur stop as well.
"Mind telling me why you keep tailing me?" The young man said without turning back.
Arthur came from the shadows.
"I believe you have information that I seek."
"I know nothing." The young man said simply.
"I think we both know that this isn't true." Arthur said walking towards him.
The man turned to look at him.
"What do you want from me? I said I don't know-" The man was cut off by Arthur.
"Your from Xenia, Is that right?" Arthur asked making the man silent.
"How did you-" The man was in absolute shock.
"The tattoo design on your head. It's upside down but, I can figure it out easily." Arthur shrugged.
The man smirked.
"Your an observant one." The young man said.
A few moments passed by and none of them spoke.
"Now then, the kingdom of Xenia is mostly for its cooperation and unity with the Krypts tribe. Say, do you know something about a man named, Thaddeus?"
Arthur asked in a serious tone.
"Ahh. Thaddeus?" The man scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"An arrogant but a strong man. A merciless yet a brave leader. I've met him once." This made Arthur shocked.
"Y-you've met him?" Arthur asked as the young man nodded.
"He killed my parents. My parents dedicated their lives for King Oberon. he killed them for that." The young man managed a dry laugh.
"That monster wanted me to work for him. I was only 5 years old back then, I didn't even know much. He lied to me, said that my parents were killed by King Oberon for treachery. I had no choice but to work for him." The young man gritted his teeth and looked down.
"When I knew who he really was, and what he was really made up of, I escaped."
Arthur walked towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder, making the young man look at him.
"King Oberon would never kill the sons of his kingdom. the sons who sacrificed their lives for the sake of this kingdom's will always be precious to him." Arthur said while smiling.
Arthur started to walk away.
"Wait!"
Arthur turned to look at him.
"Who are you?" The young man asked.
Arthur pulled down his hood and took off his mask.
"Prince Arthur, Son of Oberon."
Arthur declared.
The young man was in complete shock. He immediately bowed down towards Arthur.
"I-i truly apologize for my impertinent behaviour, your majesty!" The man panicked.
Arthur chuckled and smiled with soft eyes.
"It's quite alright. What is your name again, young lad?" Arthur asked.
"V-vector. Vector Barnes."
The young man replied.
"Well then, Vector, It was nice meeting you." Arthur smiled and turned again.
"Your majesty!" Vector's voice stopped him from moving any further.
"Yes?" Arthur responded.
"I-i wish to avenge my parents as well. I want to participate in battle as well, with your permission." Vector requested and gulped hard.
"Why, of course. We would love to have you in battle. Be prepared." Arthur said as he turned.
"There might be one coming soon."
Arthur nodded while his eyes were fixated on the map that was placed delicately on the table before them.
