Chapter 2
The Prince of Kaneria, Prince Maximillian Oberon was sitting on his golden throne, having a casual chat with his own aide, Bartley.
“Are the preperations for the feast completed, Bartley?” The calm and composed Prince asked in a solemn voice.

“Yes sir.” The aide responded. The Prince nodded his head and looked towards the large window beside him. The window had a large crest, representing the kingdom of Kaneria.

“Sir?” The aide called out. The Prince hummed as a yes in response, but he still didn’t divert his gaze from the window. His steady eyes were locked in one place.

“Sir? Prince Louis accepted your invitation. However, there is no word from Prince Arthur.”
Maximillian turned his head to look at his aide. There was no such expression that the aide could interpret, nor was there a response from the Prince.

The aide wanted to ask a question but his voice betrayed him. He considered it extremely impertinent to ask a question from the Prince, regarding his own decisions. Bartley indeed had a huge respect for his ruler.
The aide shifted his gaze to his feet and bit his own tongue. Realizing that the Prince was waiting for his question, he had no other choice but to continue.

“D-do you think….” He stopped suddenly, and then continued again.
“Do you think it was a good idea to invite your brother Prince Arthur? To put it another way, he disrupts the peace in our country with his attitude.” The aide looked up at the Prince. The Prince’s eyes showed nothing but emptiness. Bartley at once regretted his decision.

“Forgive my impertinence your majesty. I shouldn’t have asked. ” Bartley bowed on one knee and looked down with guilt showering all over.

“Raise your head.” The Prince ordered in a deep voice and dignified manner.
Bartley raised his head and stood up.

“There is nothing to be ashamed of. If I am correct, I feel the same way about my brother. I agree with you Bartley. But he is my brother. And I am not only inviting him to eat and enjoy with his brothers, I invited him to discuss something confidential. I hope you do not mind.” The Prince concluded.

“If that is the case, then I will accept your decision whole heartedly.” Once again, the aide bowed down as a sign of respect. The Prince nodded and a small smile was set forth by him.

Suddenly, the two people in the room heard yelling from outside. The two snapped their heads towards the door.
“Speak of the devil…” The aide mumbled in his mouth to himself and rolled his eyes. He shifted uncomfortably in his place before looking at the door again.

“Ah yes. I knew this would happen.” The calm Prince closed his eyes and lowered his head a bit. The same signature smile was on his face.

The doors suddenly barged open, revealing a rather infuriated Prince.
