Bad Move Richie
Everyone knows Richie is a stuck up, rich kid. The irony is painfully plain here. And I might be one too, but he's worse, like a thousand times worse.
He had the guts, the nerve, to talk smack about single mothers. My face heated up and my fists clenched. If he didn't shut his foul trap now, he'd rest in pieces!
He says, "Single mother's always whine about how terrible their husbands were. They just can't be quiet.".
I surprised myself by showing restraint, but I was one word away from socking the guy to tomorrow. I am sure everyone at the table was too. Hell, we might all punch him into an endless time loop. As far as I'm concerned his parents won't mind. He can stay there and rot for all I care.
Tessa, sweet, passive-aggressive Tessa, stood up so violently her chair stretched like a ghost. She glared at Richie so hard he should've had a gravestone with his name written on it, cause she was plotting to murder him right there.
She growled, "Richie, that's enough! Leave, we're through!".
And just like that, Richie huffed and left. I hide my smile behind my hand. Thank God he's gone, I don't want to be expelled for hurting him!
Tessa sat back down and we all looked at her in awe.
I patted her hand, rubbing her back comfortingly. She smiled at me, silently thanking me.
All was right in the world. Goodbye flat, hello round. I was on track to Tessa trusting me again.
I couldn't thank Richie more.
