What's This
She handed me a box and told me not to open it until I got home.

The thing burned in my pocket. A small sized, three-dimensional cube that was yelling at me to open it.

I could peak at it. She'd never know! But I promised her I'd wait.

And I waited.

Waited until the bell rang for the last time today.

Waited as I walked past Walgreens.

Waited as I got to my front door.

Waited as I got out my keys and clicked them into place.

Once inside I shoved my hand into my pocket, having no more of this.

I looked at the box, barely the size of my palm and white as snow. I popped open the top, sliding the lid against my hand. I carefully slide the wrapping paper around, looking.

Something cold and hard hit my finger, and I pulled it out.

I almost dropped it. A watch? It was silver, engravings of leaves twisted around the clock's face. Inside the clock were even more engravings. I flipped it over and felt a knife stab me in the heart.

On the back it said... I love you.
