Her Smile
It was her smile that got me. It made me feel sorry for her. She seemed to think I cared.
I mean, I kind of did now, but not in an 'I love you' way.
She was cute. Eyes that sparkled and were filled with hope and wonder. Golden curls cascaded down her shoulders, waving in a way only Hollywood perfected. Her face was slightly round, cheeks ruby red and skin tanned.
To someone else she was gorgeous.
She was intelligent, funny, honest, and everything else you would want from a girlfriend.
Except for her smile. Her smile made me feel warm inside. Like my insides were liquefying. Her smile made a rainy day into a sunny one. Her smile made the world not seem so bad.
What was I thinking?! I can't get sappy! What am I doing?
