Book 2 Coming Soon
chapter 15
We reached the English corridor when I realised I didn't have my phone. "I think I've left something in the canteen," I said. I hoped it was still there.

"Alright I will be in class, see you soon," Aleysha said and they carried on walking down the corridor. I turned and ran in the opposite direction. Please let it still be there. I hope someone hasn't stolen it.

The canteen was empty, everyone was probably going to their lessons now. I reached the table we sat at. A wave of relieve crossed over me, my phone was on my seat. I picked it up and set off for my classroom.

Someone grabbed me when I turned the corner. I tried to shout out but the person had their hand over my mouth. They dragged me into a pitch black room and let go. The lights came on hurting my eyes. When they adjusted, I realised I wasn't in a classroom, it was a storage room and saw the evil vampire from my vision stood in front of me staring, I jumped back hitting the door with my back and screamed. Although there was no sound. My back hurt a little from hitting it, but I had other things to worry about right now. How did he even get in the school without being seen?

"Vicktoria don't be afraid I won't hurt you. I only want to speak with you," he said like he actually expected me to believe him. He nearly killed Heather and Jason, and my vision had warned me of just how evil he actually was.

"You have incredible power as a destined one that you're not even aware of. You could rule this world and not only witches, but every creature will bow down to you, and I can help you with that. I can help you discover your powers and use them. What do you say will you join me in ruling this planet?" he said kindly but he was far from it. Why would I join him? I wasn't evil and I certainly didn't want to rule the whole world. Then I remembered I had a stake in my bag so I tried to take it out, but I couldn't move. I was too frightened to turn away from him.

"Answer me, will you?" he asked getting frustrated. Snap out of this Vicky, this isn't the time to be scared. I need to get away from him, I thought and some how I got the courage to answer him.

"I will never join you," I said and turned to run out the door, but I couldn't move fast enough.

He grabbed me and he moved his head closer to my neck. He was going to bite me, drain my blood. My heart pounded. Nick, I screamed out, inside my head. What normal person screams for help inside their head?He couldn't have possibly heard me.

I pulled away from the vampire but he was stronger than me. I need magic right now but I didn't even know any spells. Stupid, why didn't you look in your mum's book of shadows encase something happened like this? I shouted at my self. I tried to pull away again but failed. I kicked back my foot, hitting his leg and pulled away again. This time I manage to get him off.

The door opened and I saw Nick. He had heard me but how or was it just coincidence? He ran to the vampire and knocked him into the selves. The vampire hit Nick causing him to stumble back a little and then he walked out.

Nick came over to me. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"How did you know I was here?" I question him.

"I heard your voice in my head and you sound frightened, but I don't understand how I did. Anyway, I ran out of class and I had a feeling that you were here."

"So you did hear me?" I said. I was so happy that he heard me even if I didn't understand how. I hugged him, feeling relieved and safe again. He returned my hug, I felt his hands on my back. I felt secure, my fear I had faded away completely.

"It's okay now he's gone now," he said.

"We need to stop him before he hurts more people," I told him.

"We will. Vick your bleeding."

"What?" I moved my hand to my neck and pulled it away to look at it. It was covered in blood. The damn vampire had bitten me and I didn't even know. It must have been the shock of everything that had happened.

Nick looked down at the floor, he looked uncomfortable."I'm sorry." He looked back up at me.

"Everyone bleeds and he's the one who did this to you. I'm gonna stop him, make him pay. He isn't going to hurt anyone else," he said.

"We will both stop him," I corrected. "We need to get to our lessons," I added.

"You need to wash all the blood off your neck first," he pointed out. Right I did, I couldn't walk into the lesson with blood on my neck. I walked out of the room and Nick followed. We reached the girls' bathroom.

"Wait outside for me okay?" I ask him.

"Yeah, of course."

"I won't be long." I walk into the girls' bathroom and go to the sinks. The huge mirror in front of me showed that the left side of my neck was covered in blood. Hopefully, it had stopped bleeding though. I turn away from the sink and go to the toilet stall to get some toilet paper. Then return back to the sink and turned the tap. I wet the paper and wiped my neck. The blood came off easily and now I could see that I had stopped bleeding. The vampire hadn't fully bitten me, just caught my skin. I walked back outside to Nick.

"We're going to be in so much trouble," I said as we started walking to our classrooms.

"I don't think that really matters, since what just happened," Nick replied.

"I know. Thanks for coming to save me."

"I will always come to save you. I won't let anything happen to you."

"Thank you. I would try to save you too," I said. We stopped outside my classroom.

"I'll see you later," I told him.

"In a while, Vicky," he said and walked to his classroom. I smiled, what would I do without him? I could have been dead but he came to save me. How could I ever repay him? I entered my classroom.

"Vicktoria you're late," the teacher said as I entered.

"I know I'm sorry. I lost my phone. I've only just found it." I hated lying but I couldn't tell him the truth, it would have frightened everyone or maybe some of them didn't know about vampires. It wasn't really a full lie, I did have to go and find my phone, I just got attacked on my way to the classroom.

"Just don't be late again," the teacher said and I sat down.
I sat down next Aleysha and she looked at me.

"You've really been looking for your phone all this time? Where was it?" She asked me.

"It was in the canteen near the food counter. I looked all around the canteen before I found it." Oh great, another lie. I really hoped that was the last lie I had to tell to day. I could almost feel my nose starting to get bigger already.

"I'm glad you've found it." She believed me. "Oh yeah we need to write a letter to complain about a horrible service at a hotel," she said and turned back to writing in her book. I got mine out of my bag along with a pen.

"I've been meaning to ask someone. The village is really small but yet there are two classes in every subject. I know they are very tiny classes but there can't be enough teens in the village for two," I wondered.

"This school has students from our village, from a few separate houses around the country side and from another village close by but that is really small also," Aleysha explained.

"Oh, I guess that makes sense."

I opened my book and started writing. I had only just written a paragraph when the bell rang, so I had to put everything away again. I and Aleysha left the classroom before anyone else. I noticed Nick was sat outside his classroom before any of the other students had left. When he had noticed me and Aly he stood up. Jess and Kaitee left with the other students and the three of them walked towards us.

"I can't believe you walked out in class. What were you thinking? No wonder the teacher threw you out," Kaitee said sounding annoyed.

"Vicky. was really late to lesson. It took her ages to find her phone," Aleysha said.

"Is there something you guys aren't telling us? Nick runs out of class mysteriously and you turn up extremely late," Jess asked.

"It's nothing like that," I answered thinking what I think she was thinking. That I and Nick had arranged to be alone, that we were together.

"Yeah, I didn't even see Vicky, I had no idea that she was late to lesson," Nick added confidently. How could he lie easily as that?

"Really because it was a bit strange running out of class like that?" Kaitee questioned.

"Well, I am strange."

"What was you up to then?"

"I needed fresh air."

"And that causes you to run out?" Aleysha asked.

"Yeah, I guess it does."

"Okay then," Kaitee said raising her eyebrows. They didn't believe us and why should they? It did seem strange that I was late and Nick left class.

"We better go catch the bus before it leaves."

"I can't I need to wait for Bella," Nick said.

"I'm here you idiot," she said as she walked up the corridor.

"Like I was supposed to know you just turned the corner." The six of us walked out of the school.

I was glad it was home time because what an awful day it had been. I just wanted to get home and go to sleep, but I knew it wouldn't come so easily not with what happened and what I was about to see later that evening
