Vicky

As we waited outside for the bus that would take us back to the town, I hugged Nick. They had been extremely mean to him today so I just wanted to comfort him. "Vick, I'm fine honestly," he told me.

"I know. It's just that I hate them being mean to you. I see that it makes you upset," I said as I let go of him and just looked at him.

"At least I'm spending time with you this evening to help me forget," he stated with a smile. I smiled back at him and nodded.

That's right we was going to the mansion to think of a plan to stop my vision from coming true and to try and find out what our other powers were, I thought. The bus then pulled up in front of us and we all climbed on board.

We reached the little town and our friends had already got off at their stops. Now, it was just pulling up at the bottom of my street at the bus stop. We waited for it to stop fully before making our way off. Stepping outside we muttered thank you to the driver and we started walking towards the woods as the bus driver drove away.

Finally, after walking several minutes in the woods the mansion emerged. It still amazed me. A few seconds ago it could not been seen, but now it slowly faded into focus until it came a solid large white structure. A person with no link or belief in the supernatural could easily just walk straight path without ever realising it was there. Emma had told me that this was due to a spell that was cast over it many years ago now, when ordinary humans still feared supernaturals. When ordinary humans out numbered supernaturals and the ordinary humans burnt supernaturals at the stake for being worshipers of Satan and practicer of witchcraft. Now majority of ordinary humans were a little more accepting, but the remain minority still wouldn't be able to accept us for who we were, so it was best we didn't spread our true selves as a precaution.

We left the woods and entered the clearing. Then we walked up to the gate. Nick ran the intercom. "Hi, it's Nick and Vicky," he said after someone answered, then the gate swung open. We headed into the grounds and straight towards the building and then the gate shut behind us.

We opened the door and headed inside. "Emma," I called. She came from the study.

"Oh, hello Vicky, Nick. How's everything?" She wondered.

"Mind if we borrow some of your spell books?" Nick asked her. She raised her eyebrows in reply.

"Of course you can but every thing is okay right?" She wondered.

"I had a vision last night. The evil ones are back and in the vision they kidnapped me and my best friend Emilee," I explained, to her.

"That's not good. I can help you find some useful spells to help protect yourself and your friend," she replied. "Come with me," she added and walked back into the study. We followed her. She went straight for the book shelve and glanced at them searching for a book.

"Here this book should be useful," she said as she took a big heavy book from the shelve and set it down on the table. "It has lots of different types of protection spells and charms. I'll leave you to look through and learn some. If you need me come find me. I should be in the kitchen," she said.

"Okay, I will do," I told her and then she walked out. I walked to the table and opened the book as I sat down on the chair and began to read. "Nicki can you please try and find some paper and a pen? I want to right some of these spells down that way I can take them home with me to practice," I asked him.

"Oki Doki, Angel," he said and headed to the cabinet. He looked through the draws as I read the book.

"All these spells are in Latin. I don't understand Latin. How will I understand what I'm reading?" I stated as I flipped the pages.

"Does that really matter as long as they work?" Nick wondered.

"True, but what if I pronounce some words wrong then they won't work," I said.

"Then we search up the correct punctuations," Nick suggested. "Found them," he added and took out a writing pad and a pen from the draw. Then walked towards the table and handed them to me.

I wrote down a few of the spells. Hopefully, they were useful and enough. "Hopefully, that's enough," I said aloud.

"Should we go find Emma and have her help you practice them?" Nick asked me.

"No, I was thinking that we could try practicing our powers for a little while. Get to know what our other powers are. I can practice the spells later with my mum," I replied.

"Sure that's sounds like a good idea," he agreed. "Let's head outside then."

"Yeah, let's go," I said and then we left the study and headed outside into the garden.

"So how do we find out what our other powers are?" Nick asked once we were outside.

I shrugged my shoulders. "No idea," I replied. Truthfully, I wasn't even sure if we had other powers because if we had they hadn't made theirselfs known to us, but we had to at least had to try.

"Maybe, we just relax and concentrate and if we have other powers they will surface," Nick suggested. It might not work, but I had no better idea. I just nodded and sat down on the floor, with my legs crossed. Nick followed me. Then I closed my eyes and breathed in, trying to become as relaxed as possible. Okay, so any other powers except for water and visions, I thought to myself.

Nothing, I thought sighing. Nothing had happened I didn't feel any different or feel any magic come off me. It looked like that I had no other powers. Well that is what I had thought.

"Vicky, you're floating," I heard Nick say. What? I opened my eyes and saw he was staring at me. He was joking me, but his face told a different story. I looked down and saw that I was hovering just inches above the floor and I let out a little yelp of surprise. Then fell to the floor.

"Wh-What?" I could hardly form words. I did have another power after all.

"Looks like you have another power and I don't," Nick said sighing.

"No, I'm sure you have another one too. We just need to keep trying," I told him. "Anyway, what is my power? Levitation?" I wondered because I was a little confused to as what my other power was.

Nick glanced sideways like he was thinking and then back at me. "No I don't believe it is. Do you remember a few months ago when Emma got kidnapped?" He said and I nodded. " Well you made that vampire go flying, but he questioned that witch asking her why your magic worked, when they had put a spell in place blocking spells from being cast in the building. Maybe, you was able to do that because it wasn't a spell but one of your destined powers," he continued.

"That makes sense, so my power is air or something?" I said.

"Yeah, maybe," he agreed. Then he placed his hand on the floor.
"Did- Did you feel that?" He asked staring at the back of his hand that was still placed on the grass.

"Feel what?" I asked very confused. I hadn't felt anything.

"I felt the ground move under my hand," he explained.

"Oh," was all I said and he lifted his hand from the floor. As he lifted it a small amount of grass grew along with a tiny flower that wasn't there moments ago.

"Earth. I have Earth powers," he stated in bewilderment.

"Yeah," I said just as amazed.

We practiced trying to control our new found powers for a little while. Then we headed back inside and said goodbye to Emma before going home. I made a note to myself to ask my mum for help with the spells as we made our way back through the woods.

"Let's get out of here before it gets really dark," I said not wanting to still be inside in the dark. The woods didn't scare me as much but they still unsettled me, especially in the dark. Nick just nodded.

Soon we was out and Nick walked me to my house. He hugged me gently so that he didn't hurt my bad arm even though it was nearly healed now. Soon I would be getting the pot off. Anyway, I hugged him back with my good arm and kissed him. "Text me when you get home, so I know you got home safe," I ordered.

"Of course. See you later Vicky," he said.

"Yeah, see you," I replied and he turned to walk down the street. I turned also but the opposite way and entered my house.
