Diego

(Elsewhere that night)

The moon was glowing and it was full. It was so cool that any other human or supernatural would be cold but I was a Lycan so I wasn't like them. I could still get cold but tonight wasn't cool enough to do that. It was the perfect night for a wolf to go strolling and that's what I would do so I opened the door and walked outside, breathing in the night air. It smelled just like the morning air; awful. That's what I got for living in the country, rotten smelling air. I never really liked the country side, and still don't but here beats living with my dad back in the city.

Things happened between us I don't really like discussing, but because of them I now live here just outside a crappy village with my aunt and uncle. At least there was some good to find in, Goldengate and that was that I had a best friend here, who really was the best friend anyone could ask for. There was also his sister that I had a crush on. Okay, maybe it was more than just that but I couldn't bring up the courage to ask her out. Every time I tried a knot tied up in my throat. She was just so amazing that there are so many ways that I could describe her. The one thing that I could defiantly say was that she was radiant, dangerous, kind hearted, sarcastic and she made my heart flutter when ever I saw her but I didn't think she felt the same.

Another great thing to happen here was the arrival Vicky. She was so generous, nice and cute and I could tell how happy she made Nick. Before she got here he hadn't made many friends but now he was talking more and made more friends. Truthfully he had been unhappy when I met him and was still until he met her. She brought out his fun and happy side more than me or his sister ever could.

I closed the door careful so that my aunt and uncle wouldn't hear because if they knew I was sneaking out, I would be grounded. As I made my way out of the garden, I couldn't help but to think of Bella. If only I could find some way to tell her my feelings maybe everything would be different. I wouldn't feel the hole inside me if I could just hold her in my arms.

Finally, I reached the woods which ran all the way to the village and surrounded most of it. I stepped in to the darkness which was perfect for not being seen. People wouldn't see me transform here. Before I did so though I made sure I was a little further into the woods. I came to a circle of bigger trees, that created a sort of shelter from the outside. The moon was high in the sky now and I could feel my body tingling- changing. But only a small ray of the moons light made it's way in but it was enough to see by.

I stopped and began to transform. I took off my T-shirt and my body was becoming hairier with dark brown fur like it always did and then my limbs changed to that of a giant dog.

"Hahoooooo," I howled at the moon. Then ran off to explore the rest of the woods.

I was somewhere deep in the woods. Further than I had ever been before. I knew because nothing smelled familiar in this direction, but I knew which way was home because I had kept track of what direction I came.

A funny smell entered my nose. It smelt like a dog, but there was something strange about it. I couldn't place my finger on it. Well paw now since I was in wolf form. I lifted my head in the air and sniffed.

Footsteps came running up behind me and the smell got stronger and stronger. Then it hit me. The smell was the smell of werewolves. I had started to run but it was too late. Something big and strong jumped on me knocking me to the floor. I could hear the heavy breathing of the werewolf that knocked me to the floor in my ear. He was still on top of me, pinning me to the floor.

"Don't hurt him too much yet," I heard something growl. It wasn't the werewolf that had pinned me to the floor who said it. There must be two of them.

I didn't stand a chance. Werewolves weren't like Lycans because they could only transform on a full moon and when they did they were consumed by the anger and pain they felt in their normal everyday lives as a human. This caused them to be blood thirsty, they wouldn't stop until their victim was dead and I was their victim. It was also worse because most werewolves hated Lycans out of jealousy because we could change when ever we wanted.

"Don't worry I won't," the werewolf on top of me said.

I howled out in pain as I felt a sharp sting piece my back and again but a bit harder. He had bit me, he stopped to talk again.

"Oh, I'm sorry does that hurt? Too bad and you're going to get a lot worse than that if you fight us Diego," the one who bit me said.

"How do you know my name?" I thought. I wasn't able to talk in my wolf form like them because they never transformed fully into a wolf just a human with wolf like charatistics. I just hoped they had learnt how to communicate with other wolfs by thoughts.

"We know everything about you so I suggest you do as we say when you meet us again tomorrow," he replied.

"How do you know me?" I asked, who the hell were they and how did they know my name.

"You'll find out soon," he said and bit into the top of my leg.

"I thought I said not to hurt him yet," the other werewolf said.

"I'm just having fun."

"We're not here to have fun," the other said firmly.

"Oh, right I forgot."

"Here's the deal, Diego you either corporate and do as we say or we kill you? You see we would rather not kill you since you really aren't a threat to us but we have orders," the one who bit me added.

"Orders from who?" I asked.

"Like we would tell you that. Anyway, we'll let you think about our offer for awhile. We'll be back tomorrow same time so you have twenty four hours," he said and got up off of me. They then ran off into the woods leaving me hurting on the floor. I struggled to get up but once I stood up, I began to limp towards home, regretting my decision to walk along in the woods. How am I going to explain my injuries to my aunt and uncle? I thought as I retraced my steps, going back the way I came.
