The End Of A Storm
Behind The Door
The three armed men, walked slowly down the beaten track of the forest, with Adam, who supposedly knew where he was going, leading the way. "So what is your *Moma* cooking for supper?" David said out loud with his weird accent while Aiden mentally facepalmed himself."Shhh! Quiet!" Adam spelled out bringing his index finger in front of his mouth. "Their camp is near..." The grown man continued. Aiden and David simultaneously looked at each other while nodding and picked up the pace to match Adam's walking rhythm. "So what's the plan?" Aiden asked looking at Adam. "This is not their main camp. It's just a part of it. But we're not here to massacre all of them. We've to sent them a warning. We'll beat them up and that's it." The grown man suggested. "I feel like a gangster now..." The youngest of the three muttered. "Let's get this done..." David with his turn said.

"Here it is." Adam pointed at a camp with three tents, a lantern, some bags tossed inside the tents and a little boiler in the center with a can full of beans heating on top of it. The three men crouched in front of some bushes while they realised nobody was inside the tents. "Nobody's here man! What the fuck!" David whispered kind of loudly. "What do we do?" Aiden asked. "Let's search the place!" Adam said as he got off his cover and crouched towards the center of the camping. The two men followed behind him taking slow steps. "I'll get the one on the right." Aiden announced walking towards it. "I'll get the one on the center." Adam said approaching it and as David was left with no choice he entered the one on the left. "Nothing's here. Just regular stuff..." Aiden pointed out investigating the tent. A flashlight was tossed over a sleeping bag, a toilet paper laid in the corner and a survival knife was hidden behind the sleeping bag. "Should I take it...?" He thought to himself. "They might use it against me so for the time being..." He answered his one question grabbing it. "There's nothing useful!" David pointed out himself. "Why are we doing this anyway?" Aiden asked as he got out from the tent. While he stepped foot on the grass outside of it, he noticed a movement in the bushes and within seconds a person jumped off it and pointed a big rifle at David. "DON'T YOU FUCKING MOVE!" A brown haired woman with big black afro hair wearing a brown jacket and a black pair of jeans along with some boots shouted. Without thinking Aiden pointed his rifle at her and Adam followed, turning their disadvantage to an advantage into a mere of seconds. "DROP IT! WE DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU!" Aiden said with a serious and determined tone, although the finger that was on the trigger, was shaking. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" The woman shouted back. "We've come to teach you a lesson. You can't just come to our farm and shoot arrows at people!" Adam said looking the most relaxed of all of them. "WHAT?! I'M NOT WITH THESE MOTHERFUCKERS ANYMORE..." She said as she dropped her tone quickly. "Wait... I know you!" The woman with the afro hair shouted at Adam. "You are one of the two men in the farm! I know what you're doing! All of it!" She shouted looking even more furious than before. "What is she saying?!" David asked looking curious. "Shut up!" Adam shouted at her waving his gun. "Let her speak Adam!" Aiden shouted even louder than him looking at the grown man fiercely. "She is fucking crazy don't you see?!" Adam explained. "Oh yeah I am crazy! I am crazy because I know wha-" Her talking was stopped midway by the overwhelming sound of a gunshot. Her face was full of blood and inside her forehead a golden bullet had just crashed. Aiden and David turned their gaze at Adam, whose rifle was giving out a bit of smoke. He was the one that did it. Aiden became uneasy and his breathing, unstable. "Y-You... YOU FUCKING KILLED HER!" Aiden shouted out as loud as he could, almost losing his sanity having just witnessed a murder. "YOU MURDERER!" The young man shouted out once again. "I DID WHAT I HAD TO! SHE WANTED YOU TO DROP YOUR GUARD AND KILL YOU!" Adam shouted back. "That's not how it works man!" David joined in. "Okay let's just please calm down! We can't be fighting amongst ourselves now! We need to get out of here!" Adam said as he finally lowered his rifle. "I didn't want to kill her either you know..." Adam spelled out. "That won't bring her back..." Aiden threw back. "Hey Aiden come on, now is not the time." David said patting him on the back.

The three men ran back to the farm so they wouldn't be found out by any lurking bandits or attacked by walkers. As soon as they entered the Fletcher property they realised everything was going smoothly. No bandit attacks. "I'll get back to work then." Adam announced and left. "If you're looking for Grace and Olivia they are inside the barn with the kids looking after the cow." Joel said as he passed by them with a basket filled with lettuces. "Thanks man." David said and turned quickly at Aiden. "I don't know about you, But after that "thing" back there, I've lost my faith in these people." The grown man implied with a low voice. "I agree. She was about to say something but he wouldn't let her. That smells fishy..." Aiden said bringing his hand to his chin. "We need to figure out what they're hiding." The bearded man suggested. "And fast." Aiden completed his sentence. "But before that let's see what the others are doing." Aiden exclaimed as the two men walked towards the barn.

The young man opened the door and entered the barn as David followed up behind him. Grace Olivia and the kids were sitting beside a cow at the left side of the barn. "You're back!" Grace jumped up and said. "Yep. Unharmed." Aiden said smiling arrogantly. "That's a relief." Olivia said. "Hey Aiden look at this cow! Isn't she cute!?" Emily said as she grabbed his hand and pointed to the cow next to Olivia. "Uhmm... Yeah!" He replied quickly. "Do you want to pet her with me?" Emily asked. "Go ahead Em. I'll be right here." The young man replied as the little girl did what she said she would. "Dad can we go play soccer outside?!" Danny asked his dad. "Dad's got some business kid. We'll play later." David smiled and started inspecting the barn. "Grace can I talk to you for a sec?" Aiden asked her after everyone had sat down and looked relaxed. "Of course what is it?" She asked as she followed him outside the barn. "Did something happen?" Grace asked once again looking curious. "Kind of." He replied shortly. "What happened?"
"When we found the camp Adam suggested we searched around it because no one was there but a woman appeared holding a gun and threatened to shot David."
"And what happened to her?"
"She recognized Adam and started saying something but then Adam shot her in the head..." Aiden said looking down at the grass. "What?!" She yelled. "Shhh..." He brought his hand to her mouth. "We don't want Adam to hear us right?" He said in a low voice. "And what if he does?" Grace asked. "Me and David decided to find out what they're hiding... But we need to keep it a secret from the others until we do. We don't want to cause a panic." Aiden explained. "You know Aiden, this all seems to good to be true. I mean these people look well-fed and their farm seems unharmed for the most part. It was pretty normal at first but if you think about it something doesn't add up. I mean we are in the middle of an apocalypse. And now this? Maybe she knew something that Adam didn't want us to know about. And that means they have something to hide. Something so important it's worth killing someone over" The blonde haired girl explained her train of thoughts. "Grace HOLMES!" Aiden said with a bright smile teasingly. "You're absolutely right though, we need to get to the bottom of this." He continued in a more serious manner.  The barn door slid open and David peeked from inside. "Aiden. I've found something." The grown man informed his friend. "See?" Aiden said to Grace, as the two teenagers entered the barn and followed David. "Here it is." The bearded man implied pointing at a door at the end of the barn which was locked up with a multilock. "I feel there's something weird in there. Nothing else in this property is being sealed off with such high security. We need to open it!" David said whispering so Olivia and the kids couldn't hear. "Your statement actually makes sense. Why would they seal it off? What do they need to hide?" Aiden asked. "That's what we all want to know." Grace implied. "Okay I say we try it out." The young man partially agreed as he looked at the blonde girl beside him. "Okay, But how are we gonna break in?" Grace posed a question. "Well we can't break it. That way we'll be surely found out." The black haired teenager implied. "Then how?" The bearded man asked. Aiden took a closer look at the lock. at the left side of the door there was an iron part which was screwed on. "What if we take the screws off, see what's inside and put them back when we're done?" The young man proposed. "That might work kid. Good job!" David said enthusiastically as he patted him on the back. "What if Adam or Joel see us trying to open the door?" Aiden posed a question himself "We need some sort of distraction first. "What if we mess up the electric fence?! Adam will be occupied for a while..." Grace proposed as well. "Sounds like we've got a plan. I'll go mess up the fence a little. You Grace go inside the kitchen and keep Joel occupied and David will look for a screwdriver to remove that part of the lock." Aiden announced the plan. "Sounds good enough. Let's get going!"
