"Is everything okay?" Aiden asked looking at Grace who was checking everyone out. "Yep everything is cool. What was this guy's deal anyway?" The girl asked looking curious and annoyed. "Yeah he's an asshole. But, it seems that we must save his ass..." Her friend replied as he looked sceptical. "He better be grateful... We ain't losing time for him just so he can be an asshole again!" Grace implied angrily. "Seems that incident really pissed you off..." Aiden replied laughing at his companion's reaction. "Yeah it did... I mean why do all old men have to be assholes?" She asked in indignation. "New fact everybody! Old men during the apocalypse are assholes!" He said trying to crack a joke. Grace chuckled and asked "So what are you going to do now?". "I think I'll take a look outside from the iron bars. See if there's anything that might come in handy." Aiden replied. "Okay. Check up with me if you find anything." The blonde girl wondered. "Okay Grace." He said as he walked towards Ashley.

"Hey Ashley." The black haired teenager spelled out. "Hi Aiden!" The brown haired lady replied with a bright smile. "I want to take a look outside from the iron bars. Can you open up please?" Aiden continued. "Okay... But I'll have to come with you since I'm the lookout of this place. "Whatever suits you." The young man walked out.

"There's nothing here really..." Aiden whispered at Ashley who was crouching alongside him trying not to be seen by walkers. "There must be something!" The brown haired woman replied. "I hope so... Otherwise that guy whatchamacallit won't have his pills..."The teenager continued whispering. "His name is Owen. Why would you want to save him after what he tried to do?" The woman replied. "I don't know I just don't want people to die. Even if they are assholes. Really big assholes..." He said looking away. "I get-" "WHAT'S THAT!?" Ashley was cut halfway by Aiden's burst of interest. "What? Where?" She asked looking excited. "There!" Aiden pointed at the shop at their right which was an old electronic shop with a bunch of TVs at the window. Just outside the door, behind a disabled car a little girl with a black and red hat was hiding. "What is she doing all alone here?" Ashley asked. "Taking a stroll perhaps." He replied jestingly. Meanwhile, the little girl jumped out of cover and started running towards the store. She fell on top of a fallen iron bar which made a squeaky noise. All of the walkers turned at her and started walking towards her slowly. She screamed and run inside the store closing the door behind them, before the monsters could get at her. All they did was pound at the door, which looked like it wouldn't hold out forever. Not even 10 minutes. "We need to get her out of there!" Aiden said determined. "What? are you crazy?! You can't go out there?!"
"She's just a little girl! We can't leave her like that!"
"We need to secure our safety first!"
"What the fuck are you taking about?! We help that motherfucker Owen but we can't save one innocent girl?!"
"Okay okay... You've got a point!"
"Of course I do! Now open this fucking door!" Aiden said as he got up and got ready to fight. "Wait we don't have a plan!" Ashley pointed out. "We throw something at hat window over there. Distract them for a while. Take the girl. Leave! Sounds good enough?" He said pointing at a window in their left. "Okay then lead the way!" She implied removing her gun from her pocket and into her hand. "Oh and Ashley." Aiden called out as he slowly slid open the iron door and looked at her. "Y-Yeah?" She said with a red face due to his intimidating look. "No shooting. Too much noise." The teenager said heading out in a crouch position. "Ohh..." Ashley said disappointed "Wait what?! Then what should I do?!" She continued. "That's obvious. Follow my lead." He said as he grabbed a piece of broken concrete off the floor and threw it on the window he pointed at, before. The walkers, who made their usual but weird noises glued themselves off the door and started walking towards the source of the noise. "You're reckless..." Ashley whispered to him. "Come on...!" Aiden whispered as loud as he could and started running towards the shop. "Wait up!" She said following him. The walkers noticed their action but they weren't fast enough to follow, or even pose a threat.

"We're saved..." Ashley said panting heavily bringing her hands to her knees and bending over. "Where is she?" Aiden said thinking. "Who are you...?" A voice was heard from underneath the counter. "Are you... bad people...?" The voice continued asking. "No we're not bad... My name is Aiden. We're here to help you..." Aiden replied with a gentle and reassuring voice. The little girl who owned the voice stood up behind the counter. "Are you telling the truth...?" The little girl continued as she began to look less scared. A brown ponytail was hanging just below the hat a little. Her gentle honey-coloured eyes hid pain behind them. Her timid figure looked fragile but she didn't have any bite marks or wounds on it. She was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and a sleeveless puffer jacket on top of it. Her blue jeans and black sneakers looked a bit of bloody, but it certainly wasn't her own. "We're being honest honey." Ashley said reassuring her with a smile. "I'm Ashley. Nice to meet you." She continued. "We'll get you out of here little lady. Don't be afraid." Aiden said smiling as he moved closer to her slowly. "Thank you..." She said looking down. "So what's your name?" The black haired teenager said. "My name is Emily Dawson." Emily said introducing herself. "Okay Emily. First I need to check you for any bites. Is that okay with you?" Aiden implied kneeling in front of her. "O-Okay..." The little girl replied. "Where did you get that hat? It's really cool." He asked as checked her. "My mum bought it for me when we were on a trip last year." Emily replied. "I'll go check further inside the store. See if I can find anything." Ashley said as she walked away. "Nice idea. Go on ahead." Aiden said as he finished checking the little girl. "No bites little lady. Well done!" The teenager said smiling. "I can't say the same for Christa..." Emily said looking down. "Who is Christa? And what happened to her? If, you don't mind me asking..." He asked. "She was my babysitter. My parents left me alone with her just one day before this started. She became bad just a few hours ago and I had to leave my house before she could make me bad too. But now that I'm not home my parents won't be able to find me. I have to go back..." The little girl explained with tears in her eyes. "Hey, hey Emily. Don't cry. It's okay you'll find your parents one way or another. I'm sure of it. BUT going back home is a bad idea. Why don't you come with us and we'll look for them together? Have they mentioned where they were going?" Aiden proposed holding her hand. "Yeah... They were going to Prescott." Emily replied. "Okay then. What do you say?" Aiden asked once again. "Mhmm... Okay." The yellow eyed little girl replied with a slight smile on her face. "SHIT!" Ashley shouted from inside a room as walker noises overwhelmed her shout. "We need to go!" The woman said slamming the door shut behind her as it began to shake. "Let's go Emily!" Aiden implied grabbing the little girl's hand.
