Pitch blackness surrounded his view. A man, wearing a pair of white pants and a white shirt was standing at the edge of his horizon. "Where am I?" Aiden asked. "You've matured, son." The man said. "D-Dad...? Is... Is that really you?" The teenager said as he walked closer to the man. The man smiled and answered briefly "Yes Aiden...". "But you should be dead?! I mean I-I saw you... you know..." Aiden replied. "I am. Some men broke into our house and stabbed me..." Aiden's dad replied. "But that's not the case son. You shouldn't be here. It's not your time..." He continued. "What do you mean by here!? What are you talking about?!" The teenager implied as he tried to hug his father but his arms went right through his body, just as if he was thin air. "You are alive and I'm not kid. You can't touch me." Aiden's father replied. "Why am I here dad? What's happening?" Aiden asked once again shocked. "You'll soon understand. Now you need to go back..." Aiden's dad said and he suddenly disappeared leaving Aiden in the darkness.

He slowly and steadily opened his eyes. His vision was blurry and all he first saw was a white blur. He quickly blinked and realised he was starring at the streets lights above his head. He got up and realized he was lying inside David's truck which wasn't moving. "AIDEN!" Grace shouted as soon as she realized the black haired teenager was awake. She was sitting beside him and quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. "Grace... What happened? Are you alright?" He asked in a streak. "That's my line you idiot... You were really hurt and we didn't know if you would make it... I was so scared..." She said as she started crying intensely. "Hey Grace calm down... I'm okay now. You don't have to worry about a thing!" Aiden smiled at her stroking her hair. "B-BUT I WAS SO SCARED! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT YOU!" The girl replied. "I'm so sorry Grace..." He said.

After the girl had calmed down Aiden and Grace got up, David along with Olivia, Danny and Emily came to see him. "Are you alright boy?" David asked. "How are you feeling Aiden?" Olivia too. Emily smiled and hugged him tighly. "Hey kid... Yeah I feel good. It doesn't hurt much, I can move around." The teenager replied. "Anyway David. I wanted to ask you... Why is Owen still here?" Aiden asked. "That fucker said it was at the "heat of the moment" kind of thing and apparently Ashley, Linda and Kevin voted for him to stay. We couldn't kick him out..." The man with the beard spelled out angrily. "What the fuck? He's dangerous! I need to talk to him... Anyway what's the situation and where are we exactly?" Aiden asked. "Well we stopped in this school here after we treated you and it feels kinda safe. We think it might be a good idea to stay. It's got lights, boxes filled with food and lots of water. There's even an RV that could fit us all together!" David explained. "Well that's... good. Although I don't have nice memories from school and stuff but yeah that won't bother me... much." Aiden answered. "Okay then. Whenever you're ready you can go check inside since we're staying the night." The man replied. "Got it. But before that I need to talk to that bastard." The young man spelled out looking at Owen. "Oh Aiden! I see you're doing fine." Kevin said as he approached him. "I wanted to tell you something." He continued with no pause in between "What's wrong Kev?"
"I-I need to go back to Maicon... I still have some friends there and I can't just abandon them.. " He said letting out a sigh.
"Mate that's suicide!"
"I know man... But still, I can't stand here and do nothing!"
"Are you... Sure about that?"
"Yes, I'm sure..."
"So, when are you leaving?"
"Right now."
"Really? Aren't you gonna stay the night?"
"N-No I really have to go. I hope we meet again someday man. You're a cool dude."
"As you wish then. Thanks for everything mate. Really I wish you could stay..." Aiden said giving him a friendly handshake and grabbing his arm. Kevin said his farewell to everyone and then left with his car.

The young man, having finished his conversation with Kevin was ready to talk to Owen, as he told Grace to wait for him for a little bit. He started walking towards the big old man. "Hey Aiden, is it okay for you to walk around already with that wound?" Ashley said walking towards him. "It's fine don't worry about it. I'll catch up with you later as I've got business to attend to. Right now." Aiden replied swiftly refusing to slow down, both his walking pace and his rhythm of talking. "I need to have a word with your father Linda. Can you please... Leave us alone, for a bit." The black haired teenager implied starring daggers at Owen. "I wanted to tell you-" "Linda, it's okay. Let me have this... talk." Owen said cutting of his daughter. "If that's what you want..." The black haired woman walked out. "What the fuck where you thinking back there?! Pushing me over some broken glass and into a ton of walkers jaws! What the hell is wrong with you, you old fucker!" Aiden spit out infuriatedly. "I did what I had to! You threatened me back there before I had that heart attack! You are a danger to the group!" The old man said raising his voice over Aiden's. "I'm a fucking what?!!! I risked my goddamn life to get these pills for you, you ungrateful motherfucker! And what do I get in return!? A push over some broken glass!" The young man burst out in anger, almost ready to lose his temper. "Why don't you go fuck yourself?! I didn't ask for your fucking help!" Owen replied in the same tone. "How much more of an asshole can you be?!" Aiden clenched his fist. "The group has decided, we're both in this. Whether you like it or not! And I'll tell you one thing. Keep away, from my fucking daughter!" The old man threatened. "Fuck yeah I don't like it! Since when did we become a group, anyway!?" The teenager said turning around. "You're free to walk away if you'd like. Arrogant piece of shit." Owen threw back. "I bet you'd like that. But I was never gonna do you the favour." Aiden said facing him. "If that's the way it's gonna be then fine. But I'll tell you one thing. Touch Grace or Emily and the very next moment, I swear Linda will be searching for you three feet under the dirt." The teenager ended the conversation with a threat and left, before he lost his temper and eventually grab the man's neck.

As Aiden was walking back he decided to take a look around and "scout" the school. He and everybody else were standing in the middle of a really big school yard with some benches here and there. The terrain was gravelly and had some bits of grass scattered around. The big iron gate was tall, even taller than the broad brick walls surrounding the school's terrain. There were three buildings inside the school's space, one at the left of the gate which was the building that had a big amphitheatre inside and a room with a stage for the events. The one in the middle was the building were all of the classrooms where and had three floors. There were 4 classrooms in every floor. Lastly, the building on the right was the biggest of the three and it was the dormitory. It's four floors made the building look superior to the others. There were 5 rooms in every floor and inside them lied two bunk beds for each one. David's truck was parked beside the gate, inside the school and the RV was just outside the dormitory's front door. Owen, Linda and Ashley were gathered round the RV and David, Olivia and Danny were sitting beside the bearded's man truck. Grace and Emily were waiting for Aiden outside the amphitheatre building. As soon as the young man noticed them Grace waved her hand and entered the room alongside Emily. "This school might just be what we were looking for to outlive this apocalypse." Aiden muttered to himself and went to finally meet Grace.
