The End Of A Storm
One Of Us
The three teenagers made their way towards the meeting point, where the rest of the team was waiting. When Mills, Romeo and Aiden arrived they found their companions in a really shaken up situation. James was sitting down with his back at the wall. Michael was standing up looking down. Ava was lying down on the floor with James' coat covering her torso while Grace and Emma were sitting beside her.

Aiden examined the situation. Grace got up and before she could do something a question came to her mind. "Aiden? Guys? Why are your clothes so drenched?" She asked. "And where's... Kyle?" She continued her questioning. "Everyone, listen up."  said clearing his throat as he looked at everyone individually. All of their gazes were stabbing through his heart as he tried to speak. "Kyle.. Is no longer with us. We were attacked at the classroom. We tried to escape from the windows. He was supposed to be the last one to climb out. But he didn't. He stayed inside slamming the window shut. He sacrificed himself in order for us to survive " He said looking down with a broken voice. "What...?" Grace muttered.What...? This isn't a joke, Aiden!" Michael said looking at him angrily. "Michael, it's not a fucking joke." Mills said to his friend. "Is he really... dead...?" James asked as his voice trembled. Romeo nodded positively with eyes on the ground. Emma started crying and everyone was looking at Aiden and the other two teenagers in disbelief. "CUT THE SHIT!" Michael shouted as he grabbed Aiden's collar. "Michael! Why would we joke about something like that...?" Aiden said almost ready to burst out in tears. Michael looked at him with eyes that begged him to say that he was joking. But Aiden's look was shaken up, with grief lying beneath. He was telling the truth after all. He watched his best friend die. He... All of them, had lost someone precious to them. Michael looked down as tears started falling from his eyes. Michael and Kyle were especially close with each other after all. "Mic-" "SHUT UP!" The brown haired teenager shouted. "It's your fault you fucking bastard! IT'S YOUR FAULT! YOU SAID WE SHOULD SPLIT UP! And look what that has done to us...!" He said losing his temper. Michael gazed upon the floor not responding. "YOU STOOD THERE AND JUST WATCHED AS HE WAS FUCKING DYING! How could you...?" He continued. "BRING HIM BACK!" Michael shouted as he shook his body. "If that's what you want to believe. Then do so..." Aiden said grabbing Michael's arms. "But you have to know, that he was MY FUCKING BEST FRIEND TOO!" The black haired teenager shouted. "If you believe that I don't grieve or feel depressed as hell right now, then you're more of an idiot than you just showed us...! He sacrificed himself so we could survive in all of this TOGETHER! If you think fighting amongst ourselves will solve anything then you're greatly mistaken. We'll have plenty of time to grieve and cry afterwards, but right now, we need to get out of this damned building alive!" Aiden continued. Michael removed his hands from his collar and he sat down. "Aiden's right..." Grace said. "I agree..." James muttered. "He's got a point there." Romeo said to Mills. "Well said mate." The latter said punching him in the shoulder lightly.

"So what's wrong with Ava...?" Romeo asked kneeling beside her. "We don't know for sure, all we know is that she's got a high temperature and her skin is turning pale. "All of this... from just one scratch? Those bastards are dangerous no doubt..." Mills pointed out looking at her. "How are you feeling?" Grace asked Ava with a low voice. "It hurts..." She spelled out. "Isn't there something we can do?" Aiden asked leaning on the wall. "Well, I think we should let her rest." Grace implied. "Yeah, let's do that." Grace replied. "Got it!" Romeo and Mills said sitting down.

After 20 minutes, the 8, since earlier, teenagers refilled their batteries. Aiden was sitting beside Michael which was sitting horizontally to Mills and Romeo. Grace and Emma were standing beside Ava while James was standing up talking quietly with Romeo. "Hey..." Michael said to Aiden. "What's the matter man?" He replied. "Sorry... about earlier I mean... You didn't deserve that kind of reaction after what you've been through." The brown haired boy apologized. "Don't worry about it. I know it was in the heat of the moment. Don't let it bother you." Aiden replied slightly smilling. "Guys! Something's wrong with Ava!" Grace shouted as she got up. "WHAT IS IT?" James shouted as he came closer to her along with all the other teenage boys. They looked at Ava, who looked even worse than before. In fact, a lot worse. Her skin was so pale it resembled paper. Her veins were purple and were sticking out from her forehead and body. She had big black circles under her eyes. "I think..." Mills tried to imply. "NO SHE'S FINE!" Emma shouted interrupting him. "IT HURTS!" Ava shouted with all her might moving her body uncontrollably. "OH MY FUCKING GOD!" Romeo said holding his head. "You'll be alright sister... Calm down please!" Her sister spelled out holding her down. Ava started shouted in pain and seconds later she stopped moving for good. Her pulse was no longer there. Her eyes closed and her hands turned cold. "What the fuck...?" James spelled out. "Don't tell me she's..." Aiden muttered. "NO SHE'S NOT! SHE IS OKAY!" Emma said almost losing her sanity at that moment. "She's clearly not fine Emma! We need to do something quickly!" Grace said in a serious tone. "What are you planning to do to her?! SHE IS ONE OF US! I WON'T LET YOU TOUCH HER!" Emma insisted. Ava's torso and finger's started moving slowly. "See..? She's fine!" Emma said not being ready to give up on her sister. "EMMA GET AWAY FROM HER!" Milles shouted grabbing her arm and forcing her to follow him. All of them looked at Ava. Or her body, which was moving slowly. Her eyes, white as snow and her look, lifeless. "One of us…? Not anymore…”
