Chin Up And Face It All
"Everyone stand back!!" Mills shouted as he watched Ava's body slowly rise from the ground. "What's happening to her?!" Grace asked with tears falling from her eyes. "We know damn well what's happening to her..." Michael said as he got up and picked up his baseball bat. "Ava...? What's wrong...?" Emma said with a cracked voice. The body that belonged to Ava moments ago, stood up slowly and looked at Emma. Her eyes were fixed upon her sister, who was observing, in fear. "Emma... That's not Ava anymore..." Mills said with a trembling voice as he locked her up in his arms trying to protect her from the horrific sight. "He is right Emma... This thing is not Ava anymore... She is long gone I'm afraid..." Aiden explained as he took hold of his weapon’s grip. "What are you saying!?" The crying girl shouted. "Emma... Please!" Mills shouted. The monster started screaming as it charged at James. "Fuck!" He shouted as he took a few steps back and lost his balance. "Get it off of me!" He continued trying to repel the monster's jaws as he lied on the ground. "Do something you idiots!" Aiden shouted as he ran and kicked the monster away from his friend. "Thanks man..." He said as he slowly got up and removed his dirt from his clothes. Michael, Mills and Romeo came to assist them, all of them having their weapons at hand. "PLEASE NO! DON'T HURT HER!!" Emma shouted as she curled up in Grace's arms. "What are we going to do, Captain?" Romeo asked. "Guys. I'm really sad to say that, but we need to bust her head." Aiden said gulping. "Are you sure?" James asked. "She is beyond saving man." Michael said with a low voice. "So who is going to do it?" Mills asked with his turn. "I'll do it." Aiden said as he unsheathed his sword. "No, you've been saving our asses a lot back there. I'll do it." Michael said as he picked up his bat and started walking. "I'M SORRY AVA!" He shouted as the creature got closer. "She is not human..." Romeo said looking away from the horrific sight. "No... we need to watch this. She deserves our respect." Aiden said as he watched till the very end. "Goodbye..." Michael said as he brought down his bat and crashed her head. The monster didn't fight back at all. It was like she took control of her body for one last time and accepted her fate. She knew she had to die, she had to leave this world once and for all. The brown haired teenager slowly walked back to his friends with a gloomy expression. His bat fell off of his hands and hit the ground with a loud noise. "AVAAAAA!!!" Emma shouted in a face full of tears as she started crying and shouting her lungs out. "I'm sorry Emma..." Michael said as he walked up to her. "Why...?" She whispered in her crying. "You had to do it. You are a real man." Aiden said grabbing his shoulder. "I'm no man... I'm just a coward that killed a friend..." Michael said in a low voice as he brought his hand in front of his face and started crying. Aiden grabbed the back of his neck and whispered in his ear. "Then tell me... Can a coward bust a head open with a baseball bat when a girl's crying can be heard behind him, begging him not to? I don't think so. So chin up brother." The black haired teenager separated from his friend. "The world is turning to rumble and ruins as we speak, we are losing loved ones and God has abandoned us. Are we going to let Ava and Kyle die in vain?! OR ARE WE GONNA STAND UP AND FIGHT TOGETHER THROUGH ALL THIS MADNESS?! Whoever's with me and my stupid plans, follow me. Whoever wants to stay and mourn, then do so. But don't forget to mourn and cry for yourself too, because you'll be next."
