The End Of A Storm
The Pharmacy
As their warm embrace ended Aiden and Grace pulled apart and then Emily along with Ashley approached the two friends. "Are you... okay?" The little girl with the black hat asked looking concerned. "Yep. No bites!" The teenager said laughing. "What were you thinking back there?!" Ashley asked looking pissed "What the hell did you risk your life for?" She continued her questioning in the same tone. "I risked my life, but I" He said stopping for a moment as he run his hand through his left pocket "Got THIS!" The young man said triumphantly pulling the keys that he obtained from the dead man. "WHAT THE HELL?! David said as he was overlooking the situation from afar. "YOU'RE AMAZING KID!" The grown man implied giving Aiden a friendly, but strong, tap in the back. "So... These are the keys for the pharmacy I presume?" Linda asked. "I think so." The teenager replied. "And how did you find them exactly?" Kevin asked. "Well there was that picture on the desk inside that room." He said pointing at the room where he obtained the Intel and the gun. "And?" Linda looked impatient to know. "Well that picture showed a family. The parents and a kid. I thought they were the ones that owned the place and their kid was wearing a light blue uniform, you know the kind that doctors wear. Which means he worked here in the pharmacy." Aiden explained halfway. "And... Did you find him?" Grace inquired. "Well sorta. He was... one of those things and I recognized him, from his clothing. I searched him and I was lucky to find the keys in his back pocket!" The black haired teenager clarified. "That's... Impressive." Ashley commented. "Anyway we need to get to the pharmacy and get these nitroglycerin pills for my dad!" Linda pointed out. "Okay okay. No need to rush everybody!" David said to everybody, especially to Linda. "What are you talking about!? We need to get it done now!" She demanded. "Calm down Linda! We can get the pills just before we leave. But first we need to get the cars up and running so we can escape safely!" Kevin proposed. "You can't be serious!" The black haired woman expressed her anger. "Everyone's safety comes first!" Ashley joined in the argument. "Okay okay... Whatever suits you... But if my father starts feeling worse I'm going in there myself!" Linda stated. "What's your names sweetie?" David asked looking at the little girl. "I'm Emily..." She answered in a low voice. "Nice to meet you Emily. Will you be staying with us?" He asked. "Yeah I think so..." Emily said taking hold off Aiden's hand. "David, come with me. We'll get the cars running. We'll hit you up once everything is good to go." Kevin said picking the enormous bag he brought with him. "Got it. Aiden, I'm leaving you in charge. Grab everything that's useful and once we come back I want you all to be ready for departure." The grown man with the beard said as he got ready to get out from the backdoor. "Got it man. See you then." The young man replied with confidence. "Be carefull David!" Olivia broke her silence. "Of course Oli." Her husband said leaving the room.

"So..." Aiden thought to himself as he looked around "We need to find everything that is worth taking with us, so we need to start searching the place." He announced. "Grace, why don't you search behind the counter? Linda can take..." He paused as he looked at her "...Care of her dad and Ashley can search the stands. Emily you can rest for a bit before we leave if you want." The black haired teenager suggested. "What about you?" Grace asked. "I'll... take the rest!" Aiden said smiling. "Wanna come with me Emily?" Grace smiled and kneeled in front of her. "Mhmm..." The little girl hummed hesitantly. "My name is Grace Murray!" The teenage girl continued. "I'm Emily Dawson..." Emily introduced herself.
"So how old are you Emily?"
"I'm nine..."
"That's a really cool hat you got there!"
"Thank you... My mum gave it to me. Yours is pretty cool too..."
"Oh my, thank you!"
"Well since you're getting along pretty good, I'll just go do my thing!" Aiden said taking off.

The young man searched around the store but hadn't found anything praise worthy. Only two energy bars who seemed edible and a pair of batteries. "Well I'd better check on Linda and mister hot temper..." He thought as he walked towards them.
"Hey. How's he doing?"
"He's stable. For now. But we need to "pack" things up as soon as possible so we can get those pills."
"We're working on it."
"Where did you find that girl?"
"She was holled up in an electronics shop just outside the drug-store. We couldn't just let her die like that."
"Well I would say that bringing her here without asking first was stupid, but since she's just a little girl... I'll let that slide."
"Well everything is done now so there's no point talking about "ifs"."
"You're right."
"I'll be checking on the others now. Be ready to go anytime." Aiden said as he got up swiftly. "Grace next." He figured walking up on her.
"How is everything going over here?"
"Pretty good actually. We found a pair of walkie-talkies."
"That's a good find!"
"Yeah... You know I've been wanting to ask you... Don't you feel that this Ashley is hitting on you?"
"W-What?" Aiden said becoming flustered.
"N-No I don't think so..." He continued.
"Well it seems like that to me. She keeps looking at you in that kind of... way..."
"Hey Grace I've been thinking... Since we're in this thing together and all, do you like these people? I mean do you want to stay with them?"
"I'm glad you asked actually. But yeah I like them. I mean the more the merrier, right?"
"Well yeah... That's a good point."
"You like something else is bothering you though."
"Well I'm concerned for her..." Aiden said in a low voice, looking at Emily who was sitting at the edge of the room checking her new walkie-talkie.
"Yeah I feel the same way... Not being with your parents at this age... It must be really hard."
"Yeah, I hope she can overcome that. But we need to do the best we can for her to feel better right?"
"Yeah... Geez, I'm not even 18 and I have to think like a mother now!" Grace said laughing.
"What do you mean?" Aiden said chuckling.
"I mean that, since David has kids, Linda has her dad and Emily is super clingy with you that leaves us being her guardians. I mean since you and I are close and all..." She said slightly smiling.
"Oh I get it... Anyway before I go check that last room." He said searching his pockets "Here." The young man stated as he handed over the two energy bars to Grace. "That's for you and Emily..." Aiden continued. "But what are you going to eat? I mean we haven't eaten since we were at thar farm." Grace responded. "Oh don't worry about me I'm not hungry!" Aiden smiled and walked away.

"Is everything okay?" Ashley walking up on the black haired teenager. "Yep everything is cool. What about you?" Aiden answered. "Good. I've actually wanted to ask you something..." The brown haired woman said. "Ask away..." He replied as he was looking inside the pharmacy through the window. "What's your relationship with Grace?" She asked bluntly. "Well... I've known her since Junior high school. We're great friends and I trust her more than anybody." Aiden explained still looking at the room not too interested in the conversation. "So you're not together?"
"Nope."
"That's good."
"Mhmm."
"Do you uhm... like her?"
"W-What? No I- What's with this conversation anyway?!" Aiden said with a bright red face.
"You're right that's not a good time for a topic like that." Ashley admitted and got back to her post. "What was up with that?" Aiden thought to himself and then turned back to his task. He observed the inside of the pharmacy room. It was cramped and had green light lighting the space. A big wooden furniture with broad shelves was their target, ultimately because of it's inside. Medicine. The pills, gels and shots were all closed off with a glass door. "As soon as we open the door to the pharmacy, we open the glass door, take everything we can, stuff it in the bag and leave..." He said to himself.
